I love Annie Fern but Anne Fern sometimes feels a bit incomplete, though I typically like Anne with nn the Annie.
Can you think of any middle names to go with it well?
Is it too much as a double barreled first?
Would you use
fn: Anne or Annie , mn: Fern
or fn: Anne Fern , or Annie Fern, mn: ___ ??
Thanks!!
Edit:
I am loving all of these thoughts. Our last name is a double syllabul H name ending in -man, so the flow of Anne Fern _______man is not terrible honestly… but you have given me so many sweet ideas.
I am loving Annie Fern Beatrix, Josephine or Genevive, even Anya or Anabel as a first, or Anne Hadassah Fern, the flow is my better I think with a middle between them and then keeping Annie Fern as her nn
I really love so many of these thoughts and appreciate your feedback on the sweetness of Annie Fern in general. I love it.
[name_f]Annie[/name_f] [name_f]Fern[/name_f] is a pretty and unique first name, it’s no different to people being called [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f], etc, so I wouldn’t call it a far fetched idea. If you made it a singular first name, I’d suggest something like:
I think using a 3 syllable name nicely balances with the 3 syllables in [name_f]Annie[/name_f] [name_f]Fern[/name_f] so it flows off the tongue very nicely.
i don’t personally love the flow of [name_f]Anne[/name_f] [name_f]Fern[/name_f] (i find it a little choppy), but of course that’s no reason not to use it if it’s what you prefer [name_f][/name_f] i do really love [name_f]Annie[/name_f] [name_f]Fern[/name_f]! i don’t think it’s too much, as [name_f]Annie[/name_f] and [name_f]Fern[/name_f] are both definitely familiar enough imo to make it a good double-barrel. i think it works as both a double FN and a FN + MN, but here are some suggestions for middles…
[name_f]Annie[/name_f] [name_f]Fern[/name_f] is sweet!
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Anne[/name_f] [name_f]Fern[/name_f] is a little choppy, but I’d experiment with how it sounds when you add your surname at the end? It might just alter the sounds and make it flow over all?
[name_f][/name_f]
Alternatively, you could consider a longer ‘An-’ name?
I would use [name_f]Annie[/name_f] [name_f]Fern[/name_f], with [name_f]Annie[/name_f] as the first name and [name_f]Fern[/name_f] as the middle. I love this combination!
I think Annie-Fern is gorgeous such a sweet, vintage name that feels very cottagecore and wholesome. [name_m]In[/name_m] all honesty I think using Annie-Fern isn’t different from other hyphenated names like Mary-Kate or the hyphenated [name_f]Rose[/name_f] names that feature in all the playgrounds of the UK. Also [name_f]Annie[/name_f] is more common which to me equals usability to me I do not think you need to have [name_f]Annie[/name_f] as a nickname. [name_m]Even[/name_m] though I’m not usually a fan of hyphenated first names I think this one is stunning
I’m not generally a [name_f]Fern[/name_f] girl but [name_f]Annie[/name_f] [name_f]Fern[/name_f] is really sweet! [name_f][/name_f] I agree that [name_f]Anne[/name_f] [name_f]Fern[/name_f] doesn’t flow the best, but if you love [name_f]Anne[/name_f] above all other [name_f]Annie[/name_f] names, I like the idea of a combo with two middles, like your sweet Hazel’s name! [name_f][/name_f] What about something like:
I can’t remember if [name_m]Woods[/name_m] only has 1 mn or not but if [name_f]Chava[/name_f] and [name_m]Woods[/name_m] only have 1, I love the symmetry of [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] and [name_f]Annie[/name_f] [name_f]Fern[/name_f] both having two middles!
[name_f]Annie[/name_f] [name_f]Fern[/name_f] is so good! As just first and middle or a double first I would go for that.
[name_f][/name_f]
If you wanted [name_f]Anne[/name_f] I would maybe go for [name_f]Anne[/name_f] ________ [name_f]Fern[/name_f] Lastname and then use [name_f]Annie[/name_f] [name_f]Fern[/name_f] as a nickname because the flow of two one syllable names next to each other is rough but I agree that it might actually be fine depending on your last name, [name_f]Anne[/name_f] [name_f]Fern[/name_f] [name_f]Name[/name_f] is still not great but [name_f]Anne[/name_f] [name_f]Fern[/name_f] Lastname actually works ok.
