A Middle Name for Adelaide

[name]Adelaide[/name] has made it into our top 3 but now we need your help with a MN. Our surname is quite long- Yoshitomi.

Here are the family names we would like to use or honor in some way (we are open to other non family options as well):

Suggestions? We were thinking of [name]Adelaide[/name] Chartlotte Yoshitomi but it’s really long! I’m not sure in the long run if that’s a big deal though, thoughts?

I think [name]Adelaide[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] Yoshitomi is Beautiful :slight_smile: You won’t be using her full name that often, unless she is in trouble ;), so I don’t it will be a big issue. I also think [name]Adelaide[/name] [name]Mary[/name] is nice and a little shorter.

You have such great names in your list, you can really go wrong but maybe I can help you:

Charlotte: Charlotte Adelaide sounds much better than Adelaide Charlotte… But you could use Carlotta, Adelaide Carlotta flows nicely to me! What do you think of Adelaide Charlie? It’s a nice mix of the ultra femenine Adelaide and the boyish Charlie!
You could use Lottie or even Lotte, I think it’s nice and not too frilly, and it has a cool vintage feel.

Hazel - Adelaide Hazel is not so bad! I would suggest Aveline, but Adelaide Aveline is a big aliteration! You could use an anagram something like Zelah, in fact I like how Adelaide Zelah sounds!

McClure - I don’t have any suggestions about this one. Maybe other anagram, but I can’t think in one, of course you could use McClure as a name…

Elizabeth - Eliza? Bettina? Isabelle or Isabel? Ellie? Belle? You have lot of options with this name…

Mary - Adelaide Mary sound beutiful! But I prefer Adelaide May/Mae, is so sweet and perfect! I definetly love this name, but you could also use Maria, Miriam (love this), Mairi… You could check this list 107 International Variations of Mary | Nameberry

Margaret - What about Meg? Or even better: Daisy? I think that Adelaide Margo is a great option! It’s so adorable!
