A middle name that means angel or god's strength

I am looking for a middle name for [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] that means “angel”, “God’s strength” or something similar.

[name_f]Ayla[/name_f], depending on the origin, can mean “moon light”, “oak tree”, or “halo”. All of which have special meaning and honoring to my late grandma and my late grandpa (a man I never had the pleasure to meet). Shortly after my grandma passed I looked up into the sky one evening. The moon and stars were extra bright that evening. I pictured my grandma looking down and reassuring me that she was still in my life and will always be. To this day, if I feel I need extra strength, I can just look up into the sky (even during the day) and feel my grandma’s presence. My grandma is definitely my guardian angel. Her and my grandpa planted several [name_u]Oak[/name_u] trees on their property. My family and our friends shared lots of special times among those trees.

My only combo I have so far is [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f]. I really like it but would like to hear suggestions.

I don’t know how you feel about the flow, but my favorite name that means angel is [name_f]Anjelica[/name_f].

[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] means “my God is abundance.” It’s not exactly what you asked for (couldn’t find anything with the exact meaning of God’s strength), but it’s close and I think it flows well with [name_f]Ayla[/name_f].

Wow beautiful story! I absolutely love the name [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] too and i’m currently considering it for my daughter. I think [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] is gorgeous! I also like [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] [name_f]Elyse[/name_f] although they aren’t of that specific meaning. I heard of [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] which means messenger but not sure how well it goes with [name_f]Ayla[/name_f].

Other possible middle names with similarly spiritual meanings:
[name_f]Bridget[/name_f] - ‘high goddess’
[name_f]Dorothea[/name_f] - ‘gift of God’
[name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] - ‘pledged to God’
[name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] - ‘pledged to God’
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] - ‘God’s gracious gift’
[name_f]Jeanine[/name_f] - ‘God is gracious’
[name_f]Jessica[/name_f] - ‘wealthy’
[name_u]June[/name_u] - ‘named after the goddess [name_f]Juno[/name_f]’
[name_f]Michelle[/name_f] - ‘who is like God’
[name_f]Natania[/name_f] - ‘gift of God’
[name_f]Rebecca[/name_f] - ‘servant of God’
Ruella - ‘friend of God’
[name_f]Sian[/name_f] - ‘God’s gracious gift’
[name_f]Sinead[/name_f] - ‘God’s gracious gift’
[name_f]Tiffany[/name_f] - ‘God’s appearance’
[name_f]Uriela[/name_f] - ‘God’s light’

Wow so many names meaning God’s gracious gift lol…i like [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] [name_f]Tiffany[/name_f] best I think…the meaning works well with what you wanted too. I also especially like [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] [name_f]Sinead[/name_f] and [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] [name_f]Jeanine[/name_f]. Hopefully you’ll like at least one of these names…good luck!

Thank you.

[name_f]Anjelica[/name_f] is beautiful but the flow is pretty bad. I will have to put [name_f]Anjelica[/name_f] down on my list of potential middle names.

I love [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. My late sister’s name was [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f], that is why I chose [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] for my combo [name_u]Story[/name_u] [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] ([name_u]Story[/name_u] honors my late grandma). I feel it would be too much to have two + daughters having middles that are a form of or just [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] itself. [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is a beautiful combo if it were not for that.

Thank you.

[name_f]Ayla[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] [name_f]Elyse[/name_f] are beautiful, I especially love [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] [name_f]Elyse[/name_f]/[name_f]Elise[/name_f].

For some reason my tongue gets tongue tied saying [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] [name_f]Hermione[/name_f]. I am kind of liking [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f], and [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] [name_f]Jeanine[/name_f]. I would have to think on these. Still loving [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f]. I love the meaning of [name_f]Uriela[/name_f]. I have not heard of that name and had to look it up. Pretty interesting. I think I prefer [name_m]Uriel[/name_m], never heard that name either. [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] [name_m]Uriel[/name_m] is pretty. Though they say [name_m]Uriel[/name_m] is a boy’s name.

My current favorites are [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] and [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f], and maybe [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] [name_m]Uriel[/name_m] and [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] [name_f]Jeanine[/name_f]. For meaning, my favorite is [name_m]Uriel[/name_m] “God is my light”, very fitting.

You’re right about having an [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] and an [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. Perhaps with [name_f]Anjelica[/name_f], you could make it a double-middle name. Something like [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] [name_f]Anjelica[/name_f]-[name_u]Leigh[/name_u] has a better ring to it than just [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] [name_f]Anjelica[/name_f]. Not sure if that’s any better for you as far as flow goes, but it’s a thought. And if you don’t like [name_u]Leigh[/name_u], there are other options to make [name_f]Anjelica[/name_f] flow better.

That is a great idea, not sure how I feel of a double middle though. [name_m]Will[/name_m] have to think about that. Thank you for suggesting it.
