A name as beautiful as Esme...but without Twilight

I love love [name]Esme[/name], but DH says he could never use it because of Twilight. And I see his point. So, help!

What about [name]Esme[/name] appeals to you? Is it a specific aspect of the sound, the overal feel, the French-ness? It would help to give better suggestions. [name]How[/name] do you feel about:
[name]Mireille[/name] (pron. mee-[name]RAY[/name])

As one of the few people who have no interest in anything to do with Twilight, I find it such a shame that a book or film could veto such a lovely name as [name]Esme[/name]. Perhaps your DH would consider [name]Fiona[/name], [name]Ivy[/name], [name]Maeve[/name], [name]Clio[/name] or [name]Felicity[/name]?

Someone else who has been posting here lately has an [name]Esme[/name] and an [name]Isla[/name]. I think [name]Isla[/name] is pretty consistent with [name]Esme[/name] without the Twilight association. Which I honestly don’t get why people on here seem to freak about being associated with, not to be rude. It is a silly fad, nothing more. Most people don’t even know characters other than [name]Edward[/name] [name]Cullen[/name], [name]Bella[/name], and “the werewolf guy”. [name]Ah[/name] well, a few really good names ruined by a silly little teen romance series. Darn you [name]Stephanie[/name] [name]Meyer[/name]! Other names with a similar sound or vibe:
[name]Ines[/name] / [name]Inez[/name]
