[name_f]My[/name_f] partner and I both have C names and our first daughter is named [name_f]Cara[/name_f]. I feel like we have to keep the C trend going so our dd #2 doesn’t feel left out. I really like [name_f]Caia[/name_f] but is it too similar? How do siblings out there with similar names feel about their names?
Another name I like is [name_f]Cerys[/name_f] (or Carys) but hubby isn’t thrilled about it. He likes [name_f]Calli[/name_f], but dd #2 doesn’t seem to suit it.
[name_f]Cara[/name_f] and [name_f]Caia[/name_f] - are they too close?
Any C name suggestions - looking for uncommon names.
Also searching for a nature inspired middle name to add to this list…
[name_f]Caia[/name_f] is very similar to [name_f]Cara[/name_f], too much so for my liking. I personally wouldn’t use them together. I’m also not a fan of this spelling - I prefer [name_f]Kaia[/name_f]. This would also distinguish it a little from [name_f]Cara[/name_f], except the similar sounds are still there (and you want a C name).
I think Cara and Caia are definitely too close for sisters.
You already have some great suggestions but I will add:
Cecilia
Camellia
Coralie
Coraline
Callista
Calypso
Cicely
Cosette
Cypress
Clove
I don’t think you have to do a C but because you’re all Cs I would personally make it a priority in a name. Not the end all be all if one name seemed to fit better. I do think [name_f]Cara[/name_f] and [name_f]Caia[/name_f] are too close.
Other suggestions to go with [name_f]Cara[/name_f]
[name_u]Cove[/name_u]
[name_u]Camille[/name_u]
[name_f]Calista[/name_f]
[name_u]Cricket[/name_u]
Unfortunately [name_f]Cara[/name_f] and [name_f]Caia[/name_f] are too close depending on how you pronounce [name_f]Cara[/name_f]. Is it Care-ah or Car-ah. If it is Care-ah then I think it is too close.
What about:
[name_f]Cleo[/name_f]
[name_f]Cora[/name_f]
[name_f]Coraline[/name_f]
[name_f]Coralina[/name_f]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f]
[name_f]Carolina[/name_f]
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Calliope[/name_f] (you could call you Calli)
[name_f]Chloe[/name_f]
Congratulations on your second daughter! [name_f]Cara[/name_f] has a lovely name !
[name_f]My[/name_f] husband and his brother are both C names as well, and though they are different ( [name_u]Curtis[/name_u] and Carter) they are always mixed up and referred to as Curter or Cartis accidentally, but it happens a lot !
[name_f]Cara[/name_f] and [name_f]Caia[/name_f] are pretty close but I think you could totally use a long name and use the nickname [name_f]Caia[/name_f] ! Caterina/ Catorina / [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]
I love [name_f]Carys[/name_f] but again it’s close. What about Carissa/ Caryssa/ [name_f]Carolyn[/name_f]
I like [name_f]Calli[/name_f] and know 2 amazing women with this name so it makes me like it even more!
There’s been some suggestions so I am sorry if I repeat any
[name_u]Courtney[/name_u]
[name_f]Colleen[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]
Colby/ [name_u]Colbie[/name_u]
[name_f]Clemency[/name_f]
[name_f]Crystal[/name_f]
[name_m]Cavan[/name_m]
[name_f]Cristina[/name_f]
[name_f]Caylee[/name_f] / [name_f]Caylie[/name_f]
[name_u]Cheyenne[/name_u]
[name_f]Camilla[/name_f]
[name_u]Cassidy[/name_u]
[name_u]Casey[/name_u]

[name_f]My[/name_f] favourite nature names are

[name_u]Hazel[/name_u]
[name_u]Brooke[/name_u]
[name_f]Pearl[/name_f]
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f]
[name_f]Cara[/name_f] and [name_f]Caia[/name_f] are pretty close in spelling but they don’t sound that similar, is there an alternate spelling? Some ideas for the middle spot;
[name_u]Oak[/name_u]
[name_u]River[/name_u]
[name_f]Autumn[/name_f]
[name_f]Maple[/name_f]
Coast(could work for 1st name)
Cove(so could this)
[name_u]Wren[/name_u]
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f]
[name_u]Holly[/name_u]
[name_f]Blossom[/name_f]
[name_u]June[/name_u]
[name_f]May[/name_f]
[name_u]August[/name_u]
[name_u]Willow[/name_u]
[name_u]Hazel[/name_u]
With you pronouncing [name_f]Cara[/name_f] car-uh, I don’t think it and [name_f]Caia[/name_f] are too close. [name_m]Just[/name_m] one letter different, but they sound totally different to me.
I know there are lots of other suggestions, but keeping with the C’s and outdoor: [name_f]Coral[/name_f], [name_f]Clover[/name_f], or [name_f]Clementine[/name_f].
I do really like [name_f]Callie[/name_f]. [name_m]Just[/name_m] my opinion, but it is totally a name we would have used if we didn’t closely know someone that had used it.
I personally think [name_f]Cara[/name_f] and [name_f]Caia[/name_f] are really alike
How about [name_f]Cleo[/name_f]? that’s my favorite C name and it’s short and it goes so well with [name_f]Cara[/name_f]! could also be [name_f]Clio[/name_f] or [name_f]Clea[/name_f]
Some other C names (some are also nature names):
[name_f]Cyra[/name_f]
[name_f]Citron[/name_f]
[name_u]Coco[/name_u]
[name_f]Coral[/name_f]
[name_f]Crystal[/name_f]
[name_f]Cascade[/name_f]
Thanks again for all your suggestions! We received so many great names but we’ve settled on Cianna or Ciana, pronounced SEE-ana - which wasn’t in the original 4! My gut tells me this is baby’s name, although I love the name Caia, and Callie is nice too. Now, my partner and I are trying to agree on the spelling…I feel people will pronounce it Ki-ana but let me know your thoughts!
Definitely [name_f]Cianna[/name_f]! lovely choice
I think people might mispronounce [name_f]Ciana[/name_f] as Ki-ana but with [name_f]Cianna[/name_f] i don’t think that’s gonna happen
I don’t know if that makes any sense but well Good luck!
