--- A name for the trees! 🌳

Hello, friends :white_heart:

[name_f][/name_f]

Trying to figure out the jumble of ideas in my mind tonight, and instead of sitting down to make combos for the currently combo-less names on my list, I’ve begun to think of all the wonderful tree names. Not necessarily the actual species of a tree (although I do love [name_m]Oak[/name_m], [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], [name_m]Sycamore[/name_m], [name_f]Olive[/name_f], etc.), but names that have meanings related to the trees. Think [name_f]Elowyn[/name_f], [name_m]Elwood[/name_m], or even [name_f]Willa[/name_f], which shares so many lovely sounds with willow. :sunflower:

[name_f][/name_f]

There’s just something so whimsical and grounded about these names. I love that they have the extra meaning from the symbolism of the trees they represent. I love that they feel naturey but not too word-like to prevent the use of another word name in the middle. I love that they feel fit for fairies and adventurous spirits. They’re always so strong and so incredibly cozy. :herb:

[name_f][/name_f]

I’d love to hear any suggestions you guys might have to send my way. I’m looking forward to expanding this list of names to ā€œhonorā€ the trees. :heart_hands:t2:

[name_f]Love[/name_f] some of these suggestions already like [name_m]Ewan[/name_m], [name_m]Lennox[/name_m], [name_f]Daphne[/name_f], [name_m]Linden[/name_m], [name_m]Rowan[/name_m], [name_m]Sylvan[/name_m], [name_f]Arden[/name_f], [name_m]Ashby[/name_m], [name_f]Keziah[/name_f], [name_f]Tamar[/name_f], [name_f]Avalon[/name_f], [name_m]Cedar[/name_m], [name_m]Forest[/name_m], [name_m]Sequoia[/name_m], [name_m]Barclay[/name_m], [name_m]Eoghan[/name_m], [name_f]Hadassah[/name_f], [name_f]Pomona[/name_f], [name_f]Olivet[/name_f], [name_f]Ilana[/name_f], [name_f]Ayla[/name_f], etc. [name_f][/name_f] I’ve always been partial to tree names because of my own name (so I suppose [name_m]Ashley[/name_m] should be suggested too! [name_f][/name_f] I am enjoying watching a YouTuber who was a former [name_f]British[/name_f] gymnast with this name, I would love to see [name_m]Ashley[/name_m] be used for a boy more frequently!). [name_f][/name_f] Most of my favorites seem to be Hebrew tree names like [name_f]Rimona[/name_f], [name_f]Kezia[/name_f], [name_f]Ayla[/name_f], [name_f]Ilana[/name_f], [name_f]Hadassah[/name_f], and [name_f]Tamar[/name_f], but I love literal tree names like [name_m]Cedar[/name_m], [name_m]Birch[/name_m], [name_m]Oak[/name_m], [name_f]Acacia[/name_f], [name_m]Rowan[/name_m], [name_f]Juniper[/name_f], [name_f]Maple[/name_f], etc.!

[name_f][/name_f]

I’m not sure I can think of much others that haven’t been mentioned, besides maybe [name_m]Forest[/name_m] or Orestina… which isn’t really a tree name but reminds me of forest and tree because of the sounds of the name.

[name_f][/name_f]

Good luck in your search!
