A quartet of kids 🎵

I know this thread hasn’t gotten as much traffic as the girl and boy versions, but I wanted to revive it since I don’t have all girl or all boy quartets right now.

[name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] :strawberry:
The lovely [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] is always lovely and always in season. I love the way it looks with a soft “s,” and she can be [name_f]Lissy[/name_f] as a nickname if she so chooses. Both names hold Biblical and personal significance to me, and I love how they sound together.

[name_f]Susanna[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] :basket:
I can’t think of a sweeter, sunnier name! [name_f]My[/name_f] mom and I share a love for the name [name_f]Susanna[/name_f], so it always makes me think of her. I love the vintage sound of [name_f]Ruth[/name_f], and the Biblical role model for my future daughter.

[name_m]Timothy[/name_m] [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] :sunflower:
Oh, darling [name_m]Timothy[/name_m]. Such a lovely, gentle sound. [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] is for C.S. [name_m]Lewis[/name_m], and also because the name has such a charming, vintage flair!

[name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_m]Barnaby[/name_m] :nest_with_eggs:
There are so many historical and literary figures named [name_m]Peter[/name_m], many of whom set a good example for future [name_m]Peters[/name_m]! I think primarily of [name_m]Simon[/name_m] [name_m]Peter[/name_m] and [name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_m]Pevensie[/name_m]. The storybook characters [name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_m]Pan[/name_m] and [name_m]Peter[/name_m] Rabbit give it a soft, boyish, playful side! [name_m]Barnaby[/name_m] means “son of consolation,” which is beautiful and significant for personal reasons.

Oh, so fun to revisit & read through this thread! I’d probably give different answers tomorrow but right now…
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Edie[/name_f] :rose:
Most berries will know I’m absolutely obsessed with [name_f]Rose[/name_f], and [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] is a meaningful tribute to many important people in my life (including me haha). I’ve struggled to complete my [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] combo, but I’m loving [name_f]Edie[/name_f] at the moment; so cute and girly, as well as a nod to some beloved fictional characters!
[name_m]Oscar[/name_m] [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Beau[/name_m] :teddy_bear:
[name_m]Oscar[/name_m] is a new love for me, such a warm and cosy name, with a fun Victorian feel. [name_m]Henry[/name_m] is the embodiment of a classic name, and [name_m]Beau[/name_m] is just so cute and dashing!
[name_f]Katharine[/name_f] [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] [name_f]Fleur[/name_f] ‘Kit’ :cherry_blossom:
I first came across [name_m]Kit[/name_m] for a girl in A Series of Unfortunate Events and I just adore her; so bright, confident and sparky. [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] and [name_f]Fleur[/name_f] nod to my french heritage and love of all things french, as well as [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] at the Plaza!
[name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] [name_m]Felix[/name_m] ‘Benji’
[name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] is one of my oldest loves, and [name_m]Benji[/name_m] is such a precious little nickname, I also like [name_m]Benny[/name_m]! As well as being gorgeous classics, [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] and [name_m]Felix[/name_m] both nod to my dad in different ways, which make me happy.
[name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_m]Oscar[/name_m], [name_m]Kit[/name_m] & [name_m]Benji[/name_m]

So glad this got revived! My littles would be…

Phoebe Kate :blossom:
Phoebe’s a longtime love of mine that I can’t see going away any time soon. She honors two amazing Phoebe’s (Bridgers and Buffay) and she’s so sunny and fun. Kate is an honor for my mom and my grandma, who both have names in the Kate family.

Hazel Jane :womans_hat:
This was a close call between Hazel and Clara, but today, Hazel has a slight edge. I simply love how versatile she is. My middles for Hazel always vary, but realistically, I’d use an honor. Jane honors my other grandma, J@net.

Wesley Shepherd :socks:
Wesley is just a name I love for his timelessness and simplicity. I’ve tried several time to find an honor middle name for Wesley, but honestly I’d be sad not to use Shepherd in some way.

Silas William :evergreen_tree:
Silas is another name I just happen to adore. William is a family middle name that I’d love to carry on.

Phoebe, Hazel, Wesley, and Silas

This will not be a surprise

[name_f]Kelsey[/name_f] [name_m]Lee[/name_m] :yellow_heart:
[name_f]Kelsey[/name_f] is a name I have loved since I was a kid. One night when I was ~7, my mum asked us if we got to name ourselves, what would it be - I’m pretty sure my brother was going through a [name_m]Scooby[/name_m] Doo obsession so his answer was Shaggy :joy: - and [name_f]Kelsey[/name_f] was my answer (I’m fairly sure I got it from Lightspeed Rescue) and I’ve loved her since. [name_m]Lee[/name_m] is an honour name for my mum.

[name_f]Hayley[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] :heartpulse:
[name_f]Hayley[/name_f] is a newer love of mine - she only clicked in the last few months but I LOVE her. [name_f]Anne[/name_f] is an honour for my little sister which was an honour for my grandma.

[name_m]Nico[/name_m] [name_m]James[/name_m] :blue_heart:
[name_m]Nico[/name_m] was a name I always liked but didn’t think I could use especially as a stand alone and I wasn’t particularly attached to any of the longer versions (my family’s always been very big into the formal name then nickname thing). But seeing [name_m]Nico[/name_m] Greetham and Nicho Hynes (slightly different pronunciatoin but doesn’t matter) use it professionally as adults sold me completely and I LOVE [name_m]Nico[/name_m]. [name_m]James[/name_m] isn’t an honour name as such but it is a family middle name (a maternal cousin and paternal uncle) and I just love [name_m]Nico[/name_m] [name_m]James[/name_m] as a combo.

[name_m]Calvin[/name_m] [name_m]Jack[/name_m]
[name_m]Calvin[/name_m] is a name that I’m not sure I’m completely sold on (at least not as much as Nico) but anytime I even contemplate the thought of subbing it out for another boy name, I get REALLY defensive over it - like no I can’t get rid of [name_m]Calvin[/name_m] so [name_m]Calvin[/name_m] it is! [name_m]Jack[/name_m] is an honour for my brother

[name_f]Kelsey[/name_f], [name_f]Hayley[/name_f], [name_m]Nico[/name_m] and [name_m]Calvin[/name_m]

For today, I rolled a dice for genders and kept to the S initial. I think I could easily name three sets using just names starting with S.

[name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] - The name [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] is one of my favorites. Soft but outdoorsy, the connotations of gently guiding people, the friendly nicknames [name_m]Shep[/name_m] or [name_f]Shea[/name_f]. [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] means “mind” or “intellect”, which I really loved.

[name_m]Samson[/name_m] [name_m]Gareth[/name_m] - I love friendly, down-to-earth [name_m]Sam[/name_m]. I like how [name_m]Samson[/name_m] is off the beaten path compared to [name_m]Samuel[/name_m], but still very familiar. [name_m]Gareth[/name_m] is an honor name and I love the meaning “gentle”.

[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Juniper[/name_f] - [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] is one of my new obsessions and I love the peppy, bright energy of [name_f]Juniper[/name_f]. I imagine a bright, confident person with a lot of talent.

[name_f]Schuyler[/name_f] [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] - [name_f]Schuyler[/name_f] means scholar, and I love the idea of my child actively learning throughout their life. The “sky” element sounds hopeful and beautiful, and I love the idea of a little boy called [name_m]Sky[/name_m]. Middle name [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] is an honor name and a more traditional, grounded middle for [name_f]Schuyler[/name_f].
