A quartet of kids šŸŽµ

The amazing @may.rose and @Evergreeninrain (A quartet of girls šŸŽ¶ and A Quartet of Boys! šŸŽ¼ ) have a quartet of boys and a quartet of girls, so I thought I’d do a quartet of both! You can do any combination of boys and girls as long as there’s 4 in total and at least 1 of each gender. I’ll go first:

Solstice Jude (b):sun_with_face::evergreen_tree:
I’m obsessed with astronomy and just everything about the sky. I think solstices are incredible and one of the wonders of the world. I also think it sounds super cool! Jude honors a Judah.

Indigo Lark (b):art::dove:
I love the nickname Indie but hate nicknames as full names, so I set out to find the perfect full name for it. I tried a few, but only Indigo seemed to fit. Lark just seemed a natural middle. I’ve always loved birds, and keep a feeder out 24/7. I feel like I have a special connection with them and this is a way to honor that.

Tuesday Clementine (g):tangerine::musical_score:
Tuesday has always been my lucky day. Everything I’ve done on a Tuesday has always gone well and me, my mom, and my grandma were all born on Tuesday. Pretty crazy. Clementine has always been one of my favorite names and I just love the vibes it gives off. I was obsessed with ā€œOh My Darling Clementineā€ when I was 8 and have always liked the name.

Willow Bastian (b):deciduous_tree::framed_picture:
This explanation is more simple. Willow honors a William and Bastian honors a Sebastian. I really like Willow on a boy. I think it’s unexpected and cute, especially when paired with a more masculine middle.

sol, indie, tootie, & will

Me too  well, i was a bit younger, but that’s why I love the name!
Anyway, your names are gorgeous!

Realistically, it would be Sarai, Cherith, Tristan and Sholto but I’ve already talked about them, so let’s go with something else today

Ginevra Scarlett: Ginevra is a beautiful name, connected to Geneva which reminds me of one of my fave books, Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, and also, my favourite ever character from another favourite book, Villette by Charlotte Bronte. Both mean a lot to me. Scarlett adds edge and sharpness, but also links to Ginevra Fanshawe again.

Opal Clementine - okay, literally have only been considering this as an Opal combo today, but anyhow, Opal was, oddly, the name of two of my classes at two separate schools, my great nan had a special opal ring, it’s my fave gemstone and I have some opal earrings from one of my fave places. Also, it just sounds wonderful. Clementine as one of my longest name loves, because of the song

Forest Henry - this one is for the earthy feel and the outdoorsy and for Henry Clerval, another of my favourite characters:)

Tadhg Julian - Tadhg means poet which is important to me as it honours multiple things, Julian is associated with BBC Ghosts, but also has a similar look to my Ma’s name, so it’s a super subtle nod to her

Ahh, this will be hard! [name_f]My[/name_f] boys and girl names don’t go together at all, and most of my boys’ names don’t have as much meaning as I would like. :slightly_frowning_face: So I’ll be switching around some combos for some more meaningful names  (And some of the girl combo descriptions have just been copied and pasted from the other thread )

[name_f]Leonora[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] :sunny: - Neither of these names are really honors for me but they do have meaning. [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] I originally discovered when watching a TV show- the character was a young, spunky girl, (I think the character was 9) a tomboy who went by [name_u]Leo[/name_u]. She was creative, funny, and had gone through so much but still stayed kind and strong. I’d love for my future daughter to be just like her :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: And [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] actually honors a lot of different Elizabeths, both real and fictional, now that I think about it, but it’s mostly just for [name_f]Lizzy[/name_f] [name_u]Bennett[/name_u]

[name_m]Alexander[/name_m] [name_u]Glen[/name_u] :mountain: - [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] I may-or-may-not have gotten from the same show as [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] (according to my family, I really have an obsession with this particular show) so there’s not a lot of special meaning there, but [name_u]Glen[/name_u] is my dad’s and granddad’s name, as well as my (favorite) brother’s middle name :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

[name_u]Jonah[/name_u] [name_m]Gilbert[/name_m] :deciduous_tree: - The story of [name_u]Jonah[/name_u] in the Bible has always been one of my favorites. Nameberry isn’t really a place for religious discussion, but I’ve always been able to relate to [name_u]Jonah[/name_u], and even though he wasn’t the best person ever, I think his story is really important  And [name_m]Gilbert[/name_m] is for [name_m]Gilbert[/name_m] [name_f]Blythe[/name_f], the man I hold as my standard for the future, and what every real boy gets compared to for me :joy:

[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Avonlea[/name_f] :ear_of_rice: - I guess I really like the names of spunky heroines! Yeah, [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]. [name_u]Love[/name_u] her. :joy: And [name_f]Avonlea[/name_f] from AOGG, my all time favorite book series. The books have always been my ā€˜safe space’ in a way, and I’ve always dreamed about moving to a town like [name_f]Avonlea[/name_f] :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

[name_u]Leo[/name_u], [name_m]Xander[/name_m], [name_u]Jonah[/name_u], and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] :sunflower:

I’m thankful for this thread because I haven’t had four solid combos for either of the previous ones

[name_f]Vita[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] :tangerine: — [name_f]Vita[/name_f] has a sharp, energetic sound which I think brings an air of confidence and self-assuredness which is what I hope for my future daughter. It is also a variation of one of my names, I always thought I would pass the full thing on in the middle spot but there’s something about [name_f]Vita[/name_f]. Because it is a variation of my name, [name_f]Vita[/name_f] was also the name I used for a high school Latin class so I’ve had more experience hearing it and doodling it that way. [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] is a name that is hard for me to say without smiling. The C also honors my grandfather through the Jewish tradition of using someone’s first initial so it adds an extra bit of specialness that way.

[name_f]Oona[/name_f] [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] :lady_beetle: — [name_f]Oona[/name_f] is a name that really snuck up on me and now every name pales in comparison. I read The [name_f]Faerie[/name_f] Queene for class and later told my mom about it while we were on a hike. I had already had [name_f]Oona[/name_f] on my long list as for its spunky sound and spelling but I mentioned to her that there was an [name_f]Una[/name_f] and that I really loved the name. She said that she also loved the name but preferred it spelling with a double O, at that point it was like a done deal. [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] was my great-grandmother’s name and I love everything about it. The symbolism of my future child being a gift, the [name_m]Wizard[/name_m] of [name_m]Oz[/name_m], the sound that is both zany and classic.

[name_u]Percy[/name_u] [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] :beverage_box: — I love a good literary reference and [name_u]Percy[/name_u] has several. From [name_u]Percy[/name_u] [name_u]Shelley[/name_u] to [name_u]Percy[/name_u] [name_u]Jackson[/name_u], this name has so many great connections. It’s such an underused name (though everyone has heard it and knows how to say it) and I appreciate that this combo is pretty gender neutral. [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] is a name I had always heard but it wasn’t until my first year of college where I did a close read of [name_u]Doctor[/name_u] [name_m]Faustus[/name_m] by [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] (and Goethe’s Faust) for class that I saw the appeal of this name as the gem it is. As a bonus, my grandmother, mother, and myself all have 7 letter M names so I love that this incorporates that theme.

[name_m]Bram[/name_m] [name_m]Grover[/name_m] :wood: — not my typical [name_m]Bram[/name_m] combo but one I feel I could wax poetic a bit more. [name_m]Bram[/name_m] comes from [name_m]Abraham[/name_m] who is an important figure as the first Jewish, there’s a line in the Torah where [name_m]Abraham[/name_m] is told ā€œmake your name greatā€ which I think makes it an extra special name to use. The community that I’ve been able to be part of has led me to where I am which I am grateful for. [name_m]Grover[/name_m], on the other hand, is a family surname. But even if it weren’t, I just love the name - the grove aspect draws your mind towards nature and I feel lucky to have such a fun, quirky, beautiful name in my family.

Clara Sunday-Clara honors the most selfless women I know. Sunday I feel balances the more classic Clara well.
Luella Kismet-Though a new love, Luella is a sweet family name that just ages so well. I also love the nickname Lulu. Like Sunday, I feel like Kismet balances Luella nicely.
Gideon Solstice-Gideon is also a newer love that I just adore with Clara and Luella. I chose Solstice to fit with Sunday and Kismet.
Shepherd Caraway-Shepherd just feels so rugged and adventurous. Usually my middle name for him is Mackenzie, but I feel that Caraway goes best with Sunday, Kismet, and Solstice.

Clara, Lulu, Gideon, and Shepherd

today (for fun) it will have to be…

arkadios boone – arkadios is a long time gp of mine, and i love him next to cowboy-ish, rugged boone.

maksymilian ford – one of the many spelling variants of maximillian i have on my list, he goes so well with preppy yet sturdy ford.

ursuline rose – a saint’s name with an adorable meaning, ursuline is lovely next to the timeless rose.

narkissa liberty – i adore how the strong, meaningful, liberty balances out the girliness of narkissa.

All of the comments were taken from the other threads. The only combo I changed was Todd Bramble to Todd Gilbert, since I really want to use Gilbert somewhere. I also didn’t want June being left out with the only non-word middle name.

:evergreen_tree: Peter Forest :evergreen_tree:
Not only do I love the kind and gentle sound of Peter, but it holds a lot of significance to me. I want my future son to have a character that is influenced by Simon Peter, one of the twelve disciples of Jesus. I also love the association of Peter Pevensie from the Narnia books. Forest has been a long-time guilty pleasure of mine, and I just love how adventurous and wild it sounds.

:blueberries: Todd Gilbert :blueberries:
I had liked the name Todd for a long time, but it was Dead Poets Society that cemented it as one of my favorites. I can now see Todd working for a child, teenager, and adult. It just sounds so warm and cozy to me, like sweaters and hot cocoa and all things wonderful. Gilbert means ā€œbright promise,ā€ which is just how I think about my future children. I fell in love with the nickname ā€œGilā€ long before the full name Gilbert. I love that it honors one of my best friend, who’s last name is Gill . Obviously, the Anne of Green Gables reference is an added bonus.

:cherry_blossom: Marie Lavender :cherry_blossom:
The name Marie has been on my list for such a long time. To me, it is one of the most beautiful names ever. It is elegant, but still feels homey. Lavender is a special word name to me, since it was my most favorite color when I was very young. I even have recordings of little toddler Megan singing songs about lavender. Because of this, Lavender represents an eternally youthful spirit, something I hope my future daughter will have.

:blossom: June Elisabeth :blossom:
Oh, my sweet June. No name feels quite as much like my future daughter’s name. It is bright, sunny, and cheerful. It is cute and snugly for a little girl, simple and elegant for a grown woman (and obviously adorable as old lady name!) Elisabeth is a family name that I am passing down. I also like the meaning ā€œGod is my oath.ā€

I love reading these quartets!

[name_m]Joshua[/name_m] [name_m]Leonardo[/name_m] [name_u]John[/name_u] ~ I have recently fallen head over heels with [name_m]Joshua[/name_m]! Honestly I really love [name_m]Joshua[/name_m] he’s wholesome, outdoorsy, cuddly and has the lovely meaning ā€˜G-d is salvation’ which just evokes this feeling of hope. [name_m]Leonardo[/name_m] is a family name that feels strong, quirky and bold. I love paired with [name_m]Joshua[/name_m] he just feels unexpected. [name_u]John[/name_u] rounds the name off and is a very important namesake.

[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Christabel[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] ~ I adore [name_f]Rose[/name_f]! I have loved [name_f]Rose[/name_f] for the longest time she’s romantic, charming, elegant, timeless, has tons of personal significance and has sweet floral imagery attached. [name_f]Christabel[/name_f] honours one of my best friends [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] who I lost recently to suicide. [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] was an amazing man, absolutely fabulous who will be missed by all his friends, family and boyfriend [name_m]Xander[/name_m]. I wanted to honour him and thought [name_f]Christabel[/name_f] was the perfect honour as she’s light with this magical fairy quality which suits him. [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is a family name and I think rounds of [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Christabel[/name_f] nicely.

[name_m]Malachi[/name_m] [name_u]Timothy[/name_u] [name_u]Robin[/name_u] ~ [name_m]Malachi[/name_m] was never really on my radar until the man I love passion for the name took over me and I recently how brilliant he is. [name_m]Malachi[/name_m] is strong, quirky, has great religious references along with the lovely meaning ā€˜my messenger’ and honours my cultural background as he’s Jewish but has a Gaelic lilt. [name_u]Timothy[/name_u] is a family name that I’ve been crushing on for a while I just think he’s soft, wholesome and makes a lovely middle name. I chose [name_u]Robin[/name_u] to round this combination off as a subtle nod to the season we’re in now (Christmas time) and feels like a cute way to honour a [name_u]Robert[/name_u].

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] [name_f]Helen[/name_f] ~ The name [name_f]Hope[/name_f] recently captured my heart after not being on my radar at all however now I’m completely obsessed. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] is such a lovely virtue name very classic, timeless, sweet and cheerful. For me [name_f]Hope[/name_f] has a whimsical flair and lovely religious connotations. [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] is a twist on a family name and I genuinely just love her she’s bold, majestic and feels so unexpected with [name_f]Hope[/name_f]. [name_f]Helen[/name_f] is my sisters name and I love how she just fits so well with [name_f]Hope[/name_f] [name_f]Leonora[/name_f].

Hmm… I’ll try to shake it up and go with different stuff than I did for the other threads:
[name_m]Frederick[/name_m] [name_m]Alan[/name_m]
[name_f]Marianne[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] [name_f]Virginia[/name_f]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Sophie[/name_f]
[name_u]Freddie[/name_u], [name_f]Annie[/name_f], [name_f]Dottie[/name_f], and [name_f]Carrie[/name_f]
The first names are mostly just stuff I like and I think the matchy double letter -ie nicknames are cute.
The middle names are all pretty direct honor names for my dad, great grandma, grandma, and sister. [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] is the least direct and honors an [name_f]Esther[/name_f] who was actually a [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Esther[/name_f] so I think its neat that the full combo of [name_f]Marianne[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] works as a nod to her full name. Bonus points that [name_u]Anne[/name_u] also works to honor another grandmother.
Alternatively, I could go with [name_f]Annemarie[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] and [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Susannah[/name_f]. It was bugging me that all the nn have the same inital as the full name except for [name_f]Annie[/name_f] and this fixes that. [name_f]Annemarie[/name_f] still works for all the significance of [name_f]Marianne[/name_f] but is also an indirect nod to my sister so then I would swap out Caroline’s middle to honor my mom instead.

[name_m]Just[/name_m] for fun, I’m going to try and avoid all the names I’ve already used in the other threads

[name_f]Rosalba[/name_f] [name_u]Artemis[/name_u] ā€˜Alba/Albie’ ~ [name_f]Rosalba[/name_f] honours two people in my life and we had white roses for our wedding :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: [name_u]Artemis[/name_u] is a long-standing favourite of mine, I love the strong, feminine symbolism of the goddess and it also links to one of my favourite book series (All Souls, not [name_u]Artemis[/name_u] Fowl! Although I did love those as a kid, too!)

[name_f]Pandora[/name_f] [name_f]Beverley[/name_f] ā€˜Dora’ ~ okay I know many people don’t find [name_f]Pandora[/name_f] wearable, but I personally love it. I enjoy the message of the myth that despite all the bad things in the world, there is still hope. Also, this way both the girls have a Greek name in there which is fun because mine is too. [name_f]Beverley[/name_f] is a family name which I love and think has gorgeous flow for a middle.

[name_m]Ambrose[/name_m] [name_m]Hawthorn[/name_m] ā€˜Brosie’ ~ love that [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m] is a variant of [name_u]Emrys[/name_u], as in the [name_u]Merlin[/name_u] myth. Honestly I’d use either of those but I prefer [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m] with my surname, and it’s a bit subtler. [name_m]Hawthorn[/name_m] because my birthday is in [name_f]May[/name_f] :relaxed:

[name_u]Oberon[/name_u] [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] ā€˜Obi/Bertie’ ~ for the fairy king! Also a fun way to get to [name_m]Obi[/name_m], which is a little [name_f]Star[/name_f] Wars nod  [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] is for [name_f]Jane[/name_f] Austen’s Persuasion, and it’s also in [name_m]Shakespeare[/name_m]. It was my number one boy name for many years but a close friend has used it so I’m saving it for a middle.

Same, I find this is so much easier!

I’m going to go with…

Agnes Loviisa - Agnes is a relatively recent favourite of mine. Loviisa is the Finnish spelling of Lovisa and is the name of Ronja’s mother in the Finnish translation of Ronja the Robber’s Daughter (her name is Lovis in the original Swedish). It’s one of my favourite childhood books and Loviisa / Lovis is such a loving and level headed character.

Sabrina Minttu - Yes like the Teenage Witch. :black_cat: I’m a 90s kid and was a huge fan so Sabrina gives me all the happy nostalgic feels and I don’t mind the more recent Netflix adaptation either. Minttu is for another childhood book that my mum used to read to me.

Nikolas Otso - Nikolas has been hanging out on my list for a long time (a couple of weeks back I had a look at my post history on Nameberry to see what names I have liked / how my tastes have changed in the past two years and Nikolas has always been quietly there, comfortingly familiar and charmingly international). I have to admit that Nicholas from Heartstopper (which we recently finally watched) gave my love for this name a boost - honestly, isn’t his kindness and bravery all you could hope to instil in your children? Otso is another old favourite of mine and was very nearly my son’s middle name. It means bear and has deep significance in Finnish paganism (people were thought to descend from bears, maybe spiritually, maybe literally) and the brown bear is also Finland’s national animal.

& Robin, the one I already have.

[name_f]My[/name_f] ideal sibset is my top 2 girls and boys from my other quartets; [name_f]Pandora[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Clio[/name_f], [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] [name_u]Arthur[/name_u] [name_u]George[/name_u], [name_u]Artemis[/name_u] [name_f]Valkyrie[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f], & [name_m]Ptolemy[/name_m] [name_u]Phoenix[/name_u] [name_u]Sage[/name_u]. I’ve already explained those so I’m going to showcase some favourites that I love, but that don’t get as much attention haha. Also I adore your [name_u]Indigo[/name_u] [name_u]Lark[/name_u]. I love seeing [name_u]Indigo[/name_u] on someone else’s boys list.

Anyway, today mine would be (I’ve hidden the details since they get long haha):

[name_m]Cedric[/name_m] [name_u]Timothy[/name_u] [name_m]Hugo[/name_m]

[name_m]Cedric[/name_m] is just very up my street; fantasy-esque, and handsome with a dash of vintage, but sweet, kind, and boyish sounding too. I love how simple, yet substantial it is. [name_u]Timothy[/name_u] enhances that fun, youthful energy in a more well known classic. [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] feels more grounded, but fits in with Timothy’s brightness and highlights Cedric’s playful side.

[name_u]Indigo[/name_u] [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] [name_m]Taavi[/name_m]

[name_u]Indigo[/name_u] I’ve already said I absolutely love. It’s one of those names that just feels wonderful to say out loud. I first heard it on an audiobook (all of the sibset had colour names) and the character was so lovely, thoughtful, and intelligent I fell in love straight away! Indigo’s also happens to be my favourite colour, and I really like [name_u]Indie[/name_u] as a nn too. [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] I added because it links to Indigo’s more sensible, level headed side. It’s not quite serious, but there’s something in [name_u]Indigo[/name_u] that [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] plays off really well. [name_m]Taavi[/name_m] I love for the meaning (beloved) and the playful edge it gives to the whole combo. There’s still that gentle, calm energy with [name_m]Taavi[/name_m] too, which oerfectly complements [name_u]Indigo[/name_u] and [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] imo.

[name_m]Jesper[/name_m] [name_u]William[/name_u] [name_m]Hermes[/name_m]

Onto another character! Jesper’s my favourite character from the Six of Crows duology, and I just love the energy and general awesomeness. Jes is a super cute nn, and I can really imagine having a little [name_m]Jesper[/name_m] running around causing chaos haha. [name_u]William[/name_u] I actually really like the simplicity of. There’s something sweet about it, and I feel like it’s rarely heard in full (often being nned). It grounds the combo, but keeps the lightness. [name_m]Hermes[/name_m] I’ve fallen for more recently. It’s another of the mythology links I’m so fond of, and the mischievous, playful, crafty vibe fits [name_m]Jesper[/name_m] too well not to immediately put them together.

[name_f]Zenobia[/name_f] [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] [name_f]Sahar[/name_f]

And, last but certainly not least, my beloved [name_f]Zenobia[/name_f]! I’ve actually gone back and forth with her a lot, but she’s another one I can just imagine so well as the name of my future kid. The sound is gorgeous, and I always think of the warmth, strength, power, and intelligence of a princess or queen ruling over an ancient land. In short, there’s a very specific image that draws me to [name_f]Zenobia[/name_f] every time. [name_f]Sahar[/name_f] perfectly fits into that image, and [name_f]Zenobia[/name_f] [name_f]Sahar[/name_f] is the combo I’d never separate. Plus I love the ā€˜dawn’ meaning of [name_f]Sahar[/name_f]. [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] is a name I love on its own. It’s one of the most unique sounding names imo, that fits well almost anywhere. But that regal feel of [name_f]Zenobia[/name_f] highlights the strength of [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f], and they sound like they’re meant to be. [name_u]An[/name_u] added bonus of this combo is also the nn possibilities. On the surface I enjoy [name_u]Zen[/name_u] and B(ee). But I can also get [name_f]Zena[/name_f] and [name_f]Ziva[/name_f] (encorporating the whole combo), both of which are other favourites I absolutely adore, but can’t use individually. [name_f]Zenobia[/name_f] allows me to potentially still use [name_f]Zena[/name_f] or [name_f]Ziva[/name_f] without having to give them up completely.

I’ll try with some different combos of mine!

[name_m]Alexander[/name_m] [name_u]Leon[/name_u]: I’ve always loved the name [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]. It feels regal but still grounded and it’s just timeless. [name_u]Leon[/name_u] is a recent fave of mine; it’s fun and spunky and has an edge to it.

[name_m]Bastien[/name_m] [name_m]Prosper[/name_m]: [name_m]Bastien[/name_m] makes me think of a strong fortress as well as nature for some reason. It feels familiar but it’s not very common. [name_m]Prosper[/name_m] is the name of a character in the book The Thief [name_m]Lord[/name_m] by [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f] Funke, who was my favourite writer when I was younger (anyone remember Inkheart?)

[name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_u]Meredith[/name_u]: [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] is a long-time fave of mine and it’s just sighs perfect. I like the connection to greek mythology as well as the fact that it’s the name of a character in the Brotherband series by [name_u]John[/name_u] [name_m]Flanagan[/name_m], whose [name_u]Ranger[/name_u] Apprentice series had a huge influence on me as a child. [name_u]Meredith[/name_u] is more of a recent fave: I started watching Grey’s Anatomy recently and it’s made me fall for the name [name_u]Meredith[/name_u]!

[name_f]Anora[/name_f] [name_f]Faye[/name_f]: [name_f]Anora[/name_f] is a character in a [name_u]Harry[/name_u] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] fanfic I used to read a few years ago (and sometimes still read ;)). I always liked how in the fanfic [name_f]Anora[/name_f] started of as shy but grew into these amazingly strong woman. As someone who grew up shy, this really resonated with me. [name_f]Faye[/name_f] makes me think of fairies and I used to love reading fairytales when I was younger

[name_m]Felix[/name_m] [name_u]Clyde[/name_u] - [name_m]Felix[/name_m] hits a lot of my qualifiers: nice meaning, one of the weird goth letters at the end of the alphabet, flows off the tongue. [name_u]Clyde[/name_u] is a family name from a generation looong ago that I’m fond of.

[name_u]Levi[/name_u] [name_u]Orion[/name_u] - I like [name_u]Levi[/name_u] for a lot of the same reasons I like [name_m]Felix[/name_m]. The sounds are impactful but soft, not choppy. [name_u]Orion[/name_u] was the first constellation I ever learned to identify and eventually became kind of a symbol of luck for me (it’s the next tattoo I want).

[name_f]Azalea[/name_f] [name_f]Honey[/name_f] - What can I say, I’m a big enjoyer of cute nature names. [name_f]Azalea[/name_f] feels so bright and summery to me, and [name_f]Honey[/name_f] conjures up a golden vibe. It just feels like such a happy name

[name_f]Hespera[/name_f] [name_u]Love[/name_u] - [name_f]Hespera[/name_f] is a little less well-known than the others, but it’s so beautiful with a gorgeous meaning and I’m obsessed with it lately. It also has those soft but impactful sounds, so I feel it fits in alright here. And [name_u]Love[/name_u] is just sweet and… well, lovely.

@almondmilk I was wondering when someone would do this!!! How fun
I already have a LO so I’ll name 3 more :two_hearts: I did a boy, boy, girl order for fun, and chose some new names I haven’t done on the other 2 yet.

[name_m]Oscar[/name_m] [name_u]Eden[/name_u]- [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] has so much going for it! [name_f]My[/name_f] husband and I come from very diverse backgrounds, (we are both latine, but our child will also be [name_u]Irish[/name_u], Jewish, Polish, and German) so [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] seems to be just as diverse as we are. I haven’t met many Oscars, but the ones I have met range in age from 5 to 75! I love the idea that [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] fits many generations and many backgrounds. I get comments a lot about giving my son a ā€œgirlā€ middle name, so if I have more boys I’m definitely doing it again :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:. [name_u]Eden[/name_u] has such a beautiful meaning and imagery to me it would be a shame not to use it with both genders!

[name_u]Dylan[/name_u] [name_u]Pax[/name_u]- I’ve always loved [name_u]Dylan[/name_u]. Any time I heard the name growing up, I thought ā€œthat person is so lucky to have such a cool name!ā€ I love that this name is well known for being GN, and the connection to poetry makes the name really special to me. It’s also no coincidence that my husband’s favorite musician is [name_m]Bob[/name_m] [name_u]Dylan[/name_u]. [name_u]Pax[/name_u] is such a cute name! It catches my eye every time I see it.

[name_f]Lila[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]- [name_f]Lila[/name_f] has always caught my eye. [name_u]Ive[/name_u] only met 2 [name_f]Lilas[/name_f] (since it’s the Spanish word for purple I thought I would have met more) and they both spelled their name Lilah/ [name_f]Lylah[/name_f]. It’s so sweet, soft, and a little bit mysterious. I think the spunky, joyous, happy [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] really helps balance the name out. I chose [name_f]Rose[/name_f] as the second middle because if I could, every daughter I ever have would be a [name_f]Rose[/name_f] :rose:

R%@n, [name_m]Oscar[/name_m], [name_u]Dylan[/name_u], and [name_f]Lila[/name_f]

:tulip: ivy luella (g) - ivy’s been an all-time favourite and luella is a recent crush, ivy is short and sweet but still feels independent.

:ringer_planet:shiloh jupiter (g) - shiloh is bouncy and bright for all genders but especially loving it paired with the underrated jupiter at the moment.

:sauropod: silas romeo (b) - soft yet strong, historic yet youthful. how I would describe this combo is with those two phrases.

:blossom: indie scout (g) - these two names are on-and-off favourites of mine and I’ve only recently realised how well they go together.

Right now, they’d be…

[name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_u]Kit[/name_u] ā€œTeddyā€ - [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] honors my grandfather, and [name_u]Kit[/name_u] is just a cute name that I love.

[name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Annelise[/name_f] - [name_f]Esther[/name_f] is a classic, literary favorite of mine, and [name_f]Annelise[/name_f] honors my mother.

[name_u]Daniel[/name_u] [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] - [name_u]Daniel[/name_u] honors my father, and [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] is a favorite boy name of mine.

[name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f] - Two of my all-time favorite girl names—sweet [name_f]Clara[/name_f] and family-name [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f].

[name_f]My[/name_f] two existing sons are [name_u]Levi[/name_u] [name_u]Joseph[/name_u] and [name_u]Griffin[/name_u] [name_m]Cole[/name_m], so in this scenario I would add two girls!

[name_u]Levi[/name_u] [name_u]Joseph[/name_u] - we loved [name_u]Levi[/name_u] and [name_u]Joseph[/name_u] honors my husband’s father and brother
[name_u]Griffin[/name_u] [name_m]Cole[/name_m] - [name_u]Griffin[/name_u] is a nod to my brother [name_u]Glen[/name_u], and [name_m]Cole[/name_m] honors my husband’s sister [name_f]Nicole[/name_f]
[name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_f]Annette[/name_f] - [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] has been a long time favorite and [name_f]Annette[/name_f] nods to my mom, MIL and myself all having some form of [name_u]Anne[/name_u] in our name
[name_f]Juna[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] - [name_f]Juna[/name_f] feels familiar but fresh, and [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] would honor my husband’s grandma [name_f]Mary[/name_f]

[name_u]Levi[/name_u], [name_u]Griffin[/name_u], [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] and [name_f]Juna[/name_f] <3
