I’m not currently pregnant, but my husband and I are seriously talking about the possibility of baby number 3 and have zero ideas for potential baby names.

We have two beautiful boys, [name_m]Owen[/name_m] [name_m]Francis[/name_m] and [name_m]Rhys[/name_m] [name_m]Winfield[/name_m]. Middle names are family names and our last name is hyphenated and lengthy: Tailor-HiIIiard.

Both times we found out the sex and our tentative girl name was [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] (nickname [name_f]Cora[/name_f] or Delia). Not sure if we would have ultimately chosen [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] because even though we adore it, it feels like a long first name with our already long surname.

For a third kid, boy MN would be [name_m]Holden[/name_m] and girl MN would be [name_f]Jean[/name_f] or [name_f]Ruth[/name_f].

I’m terrified we backed ourselves into a naming corner since our kids have Welsh, four letter names [name_f][/name_f] I also liked [name_m]Alec[/name_m], [name_m]Isaac[/name_m], and [name_m]Bram[/name_m], all of which my husband vetoed. [name_f]My[/name_f] husband’s favorite girl name is [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f], which I vetoed. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I don’t love [name_m]Nile[/name_m] / [name_m]Nyle[/name_m] with [name_m]Holden[/name_m] but I am kinda digging [name_m]Nyle[/name_m] [name_f]Jean[/name_f] or [name_m]Nyle[/name_m] [name_f]Rue[/name_f]

I like the idea of keeping the 4 letter boy name, hence my suggestions… however I don’t think [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] goes with the brother’s names (in my opinion), hopefully I’ve suggested some possible alternatives for you to choose from:
I don’t think you’ve locked yourself in [name_f][/name_f]- [name_m]Owen[/name_m] and [name_m]Rhys[/name_m] feel cross-cultural enough that plenty of names could work!

I think you should go for something literary, windswept/rugged and possibly with a Celtic inflection.
I really do not feel you have tied yourself into a theme with your boys names. I think [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] would be gorgeous with your kiddos and very classic with your surname.

Funny thing about [name_m]Graham[/name_m]: my husband is from the UK and we live in the US so even though we both love this name, he can’t stand the American (at least our part of the states) pronunciation of “Gram” haha
