A sister/brother for Florence - 8 letter/2 syllable name please!

Our daughter is [name]Florence[/name] and she really suits her vintage name because she is old before her time! It was the name that fitted because you can say it in French and in English too (her heritage), you can spell it easily and it is the same length as our surname, also breaking down into a 3-5 letter split with the 2 syllables.

Now that her brother/sister is due in [name]November[/name] I would love to find another 8 letter, 2 syllable name if you can help me. My baby brain is too fuzzy! We now live Down Under so there are Aussie pronunciations and shortenings to consider too. Thank you!

This is hard as most 8 letter names have 3 syllables+, so you’re really restricting yourself. Some sound like they have 2 syllables when you say them though. This is all I found:

[name]Beatrice[/name], [name]Delphine[/name], [name]Primrose[/name], [name]Scarlett[/name]

[name]Alphonse[/name], [name]Clemence[/name], [name]Frederic[/name], [name]Geoffrey[/name], [name]Humphrey[/name], [name]Laurence[/name], [name]Tristram[/name]

Other vintage/classic 8 letter names: [name]Adelaide[/name], [name]Alastair[/name], [name]Augustus[/name], [name]Benedict[/name], [name]Benjamin[/name], [name]Clarissa[/name], [name]Eleanore[/name], [name]Felicity[/name], [name]Georgina[/name], [name]Isabelle[/name], [name]Jennifer[/name], [name]Jonathan[/name], [name]Nicholas[/name], [name]Penelope[/name], [name]Rosalind[/name], [name]Rosemary[/name], [name]Susannah[/name], [name]Theodore[/name], [name]Victoria[/name]

Thank you for the great input!! Yes it is restrictive, maybe I should knock the idea on the head. [name]Florence[/name] & [name]Laurence[/name] would be a hilarious combination though!

Unfortunately although I love [name]Scarlett[/name] our surname also starts with -ar, not so good - and ends in an “ine” sound eliminating [name]Sandrine[/name] and [name]Claudine[/name], both good froggy options.

I do love [name]Meredith[/name] but can’t work out if it is daggy here in Australia. [name]Isabelle[/name] is lovely too but just so popular. Good job I have a few more months to think about it.

I definitely like the sound of the following:

[name]Florence[/name] and [name]Franklin[/name]

[name]Florence[/name] and [name]Colette[/name]

[name]Florence[/name] and [name]Geoffrey[/name]
