We are 99% we are having a boy, but just in case we need a girl’s name!
My husband likes [name_f]Nora[/name_f]. I am not a fan of the popularity and my cousin had a [name_f]Nora[/name_f] 6 months ago.
I like [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] and [name_f]Emma[/name_f], but [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] was immediately vetoed and we are both unsure about [name_f]Emma[/name_f] because of the popularity.
given that brynn has two (lovely!) nature-meaning names, i suggest:
acacia
briar
cassia (the plant most “cinnamon” comes from)
clover
dale
hazel
ivy
juniper (i know a little juniper called junie!)
laurel
lea (pronounced like “leigh”)
linden
magnolia (i love the nn maggie for this)
marina
meadow
olive
sylvia/sylvie
willow
semi-unrelated, but i have to say — i love levi cedar for a little boy! cedar is a favored middle of mine, because cedar is the street i grew up on
[name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] or [name_f]Etta[/name_f] instead of [name_f]Emma[/name_f]? [name_f]Cora[/name_f] instead of [name_f]Nora[/name_f]? Also love the suggestion of [name_f]Willa[/name_f]. [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] also comes to mind.
I think [name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_f]Maple[/name_f] is such a great name, and [name_u]Everly[/name_u] and [name_f]Brynn[/name_f] make a great sibset. What gives him pause-- the ever- beginning or the -ley ending?
He never really gives a reason except “I don’t like it”. My name ends in -ley so i dont think that is the issue. I even come up with nicknames ( Eves and Evie) but he is pretty stubborn when he has made up his mind. Naming our babies is a huge challenge for us!
