I am a planner by nature, so though my daughter is still young, I feel obligated to start thinking for her possible sister. Girl names are hard for me. I prefer them to be light, feminine and yet spunky. I prefer short names with vowels for girls and also like them to be able to age well. I want them to fit a personality that is tomboyish yet still beautiful. I have two boys, [name_m]Connor[/name_m] and [name_m]Jack[/name_m], and want the name to match well with them. Should we have a boy in the future, he will be Truett. I like my names to match, but not have similar sounds. Her middle name will be [name_u]Joyce[/name_u] after a beloved aunt. That is not changing. I am not fond of names that can be shortened to a nickname. And I am very much in loves that sound organic or close to nature for a girl. I love the name Aeris, but am hesitant to use it because it does not have roots. Opinions?
If you love Aeris, go for it! Otherwise, [name_m]Connor[/name_m], [name_m]Jack[/name_m], [name_f]Isla[/name_f] & …
[name_f]Aerin[/name_f] [name_u]Joyce[/name_u]
[name_f]Amie[/name_f] [name_u]Joyce[/name_u]
[name_f]Erica[/name_f] [name_u]Joyce[/name_u]
[name_f]Carys[/name_f] [name_u]Joyce[/name_u]
[name_f]Corinne[/name_f] [name_u]Joyce[/name_u]
[name_m]Harris[/name_m] [name_u]Joyce[/name_u] (not sure how this is spelt for a girl but I like the sounds)
[name_f]Kaylin[/name_f] [name_u]Joyce[/name_u]
[name_u]Lexie[/name_u] [name_u]Joyce[/name_u]
[name_f]Lillie[/name_f] [name_u]Joyce[/name_u]
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_u]Joyce[/name_u]
Oh & maybe Vivienne Joyce?
I was going to suggest both [name_f]Elise[/name_f] and [name_f]Mila[/name_f], but I see that they are in your signature!
To go with [name_f]Isla[/name_f], [name_m]Connor[/name_m], and [name_m]Jack[/name_m]…
[name_f]Eva[/name_f]
[name_u]Eden[/name_u]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]
[name_f]Clea[/name_f]
[name_f]Nola[/name_f]
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f]
[name_f]Maisie[/name_f]
[name_f]Evie[/name_f] ([name_u]Evelyn[/name_u])
[name_f]Gemma[/name_f]
[name_f]Lillian[/name_f]
[name_f]Greta[/name_f]
[name_f]Willa[/name_f]
I have a niece named [name_u]Alexis[/name_u] and another named [name_f]Lillia[/name_f], so all varients of those names are out. I also have a cousin named [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] ([name_f]Evie[/name_f]) so that is also out. I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Mila[/name_f], but it was a contender for my daughter’s name and since we picked [name_f]ISLA[/name_f], I am hesitant to use any that sound too similar, which knock out [name_f]Lyra[/name_f], [name_f]Mila[/name_f], and [name_f]Clara[/name_f], which were frontrunners.
I love [name_f]Elyse[/name_f], but DH isn’t too fond of it. I also toyed with [name_m]Oswin[/name_m], even though it is technically a male name, but DH nixed it as well. He really loves [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], but I find it rising in popularity even more than [name_f]Isla[/name_f] now.
[name_f]Noa[/name_f] [name_u]Joyce[/name_u] (one of my fave girl names)
[name_f]Leah[/name_f] [name_u]Joyce[/name_u] (my sister’s name, we pronounce it the star wars way)
[name_f]Zara[/name_f] [name_u]Joyce[/name_u]
[name_f]Cora[/name_f] [name_u]Joyce[/name_u] (I think this one has the best flow)
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_u]Joyce[/name_u] (love this but may not be spunky enough?)
[name_f]Greer[/name_f] [name_u]Joyce[/name_u] (love [name_f]Greer[/name_f] but maybe doesn’t go well with the middle)
[name_f]Mira[/name_f] [name_u]Joyce[/name_u]
