A sister name for Seamus

Hello all.
I have fallen in love with [name_m]Seamus[/name_m]. The name sounds masculine, strong, but sweet. What do you think of the name [name_m]Seamus[/name_m]?
I am having a hard time finding a girl name that sounds good with it.
This is my list of girl names I like, in no particular order:
[name_u]Pascale[/name_u]
[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]
[name_u]August[/name_u]
[name_f]Marigold[/name_f]
[name_f]Circe[/name_f]/Cersei
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f]
[name_f]Nora[/name_f]
[name_f]Adeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Estella[/name_f]/[name_f]Stella[/name_f]

Which of these names do you think would fit best with brother [name_m]Seamus[/name_m]? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you have any other suggestions or middles? Thanks and take it away!

[name_f]Marigold[/name_f]! I just added it to my list.

[name_f]Nora[/name_f] is the obvious choice because both are Irish. However I also think some of the other names can work.
With [name_m]Seamus[/name_m] I like
[name_f]Nora[/name_f]
[name_f]Adeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f]
[name_f]Stella[/name_f] or [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]

[name_m]Seamus[/name_m] is so cool! The first time I saw this name I thought it was pronounced as sea-moos, I was about five and mus is Norwegian for mouse. I was obsessed with C.S. [name_m]Lewis[/name_m]’ Chronicles of [name_f]Narnia[/name_f] at this point so I associated the name [name_m]Seamus[/name_m] with the mouse Reepicheep who was a mouse at sea, haha. So I like [name_m]Seamus[/name_m] very much, although I was slightly disappointed when I realised it was pronounced very differently to how I thought it was… oh, well, I got over it!

Of your names I think [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] would be smashing perfection with [name_m]Seamus[/name_m]. I’d imagine them to be raised on an organic farm, swimming in the tall grass, playing peek-a-boo with the cats and chasing chickens. Silly chickens… I also think [name_f]Stella[/name_f] and [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] would be great.

If you want some more Celtic-ness:
Betsan
[name_f]Bonnie[/name_f] (how cute is [name_f]Bonnie[/name_f]?)
Lilwen
[name_f]Nessa[/name_f]/[name_f]Nesta[/name_f]

Other random things:
[name_f]Anouk[/name_f]
[name_f]Esme[/name_f]
[name_f]Gaia[/name_f]
[name_f]Ismene[/name_f]
[name_f]Linnea[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucina[/name_f]
[name_f]Sabina[/name_f]
[name_f]Vesta[/name_f]

I like [name_f]Nora[/name_f]!

I like [name_f]Nora[/name_f] from your list. I also like strong Irish names with [name_m]Seamus[/name_m] as it is a strong name too.

Here are some for you:
[name_f]Aoife[/name_f] (pronounced e-fa)
[name_f]Fiona[/name_f]
[name_f]Keira[/name_f]
[name_f]Kyla[/name_f]
[name_f]Nola[/name_f]
[name_f]Roisin[/name_f] (pronounced ro-sheen)

I think [name_f]Nora[/name_f] flows best with [name_m]Seamus[/name_m] from your list.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! I am starting to feel better about [name_f]Marigold[/name_f]. You know it came to me one day during a drive around the lake where we saw…yes…ragweed… but the golden yellow colours looked outstanding and made me think of a little [name_f]Marigold[/name_f]. [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] and [name_u]Pascale[/name_u] were on the top two of my list.

What do you guys think of [name_u]Pascale[/name_u] with [name_m]Seamus[/name_m]? Or do you think [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] would sound better?

I know a lot of the suggestions have led to favourites of [name_f]Nora[/name_f]. But I have decided it does not feel special enough for our future little girl. Thanks for the suggestions everyone!

[name_u]Pascale[/name_u] - I like this, pretty sound
[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] - a little too old-fashioned, with a depressing association
[name_u]August[/name_u] - bold, I like this
[name_f]Marigold[/name_f] - not my favourite flower name (i would go for [name_f]Flora[/name_f], [name_f]Florence[/name_f], or [name_f]Fleur[/name_f])
[name_f]Circe[/name_f]/Cersei - OK, but not my favourite
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] - good choice, elegant yet light
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] - lovely choice, has more of a Celtic history which would pair well with [name_m]Seamus[/name_m]

[name_f]Adeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Estella[/name_f]/[name_f]Stella[/name_f]

I love [name_u]Pascale[/name_u]. It is just as unique as [name_m]Seamus[/name_m] and equally as appealing

I love the name [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] but I think [name_m]Seamus[/name_m] & [name_u]Pascale[/name_u] sound a little better as a set! Wonderful names…quite the “international flair” as the Nameberry books would say. I also think [name_m]Seamus[/name_m] & [name_f]Estella[/name_f] works nicely. [name_f]Estella[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] is a great combo!

My best friend’s brother is named [name_m]Seamus[/name_m] her name is [name_f]Orla[/name_f], I think they go well together and [name_f]Orla[/name_f] is easily pronounced.
[name_u]Pascale[/name_u]: I don’t think they work together.
[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]: i’ve never liked this its unappealing to me
[name_u]August[/name_u]: I do like this
[name_f]Marigold[/name_f]: This is lovely
[name_f]Circe[/name_f]/Cersei: i can’t pronounce it
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f]: Overrated. I can’t get behind it
[name_f]Nora[/name_f]: I like this especially with [name_m]Seamus[/name_m]
[name_f]Adeline[/name_f]: My sister is [name_f]Adele[/name_f] and I can’t get behine [name_f]Adeline[/name_f].
[name_f]Estella[/name_f]/[name_f]Stella[/name_f]: I love this

I love [name_m]Seamus[/name_m]! Its masculine but also gives me the impression of a caring, kind yet strong young man.

[name_u]Pascale[/name_u]- This just doesn’t have the same feeling; its almost a little stuffy for a first name.
[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]- I actually like this name with [name_m]Seamus[/name_m]! Its a beautiful, feminine name.
[name_u]August[/name_u]- This just doesn’t have as much personality as [name_m]Seamus[/name_m].
[name_f]Marigold[/name_f]- This is cute and sounds good with [name_m]Seamus[/name_m].
[name_f]Circe[/name_f]/Cersei- See [name_u]August[/name_u].
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f]- I could see this with [name_m]Seamus[/name_m], especially with the nickname [name_f]Nell[/name_f].
[name_f]Nora[/name_f]- See [name_u]August[/name_u].
[name_f]Adeline[/name_f]- Hmm maybe, but I think it may lack uniqueness.
[name_f]Estella[/name_f]/[name_f]Stella[/name_f]- I don’t know. [name_f]Estella[/name_f] is Spanish and [name_m]Seamus[/name_m] is Irish?

To be honest I think [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] goes best with [name_m]Seamus[/name_m]!

Sometimes I feel that my names are all over the maps! [name_m]Seamus[/name_m]–Irish, [name_u]Pascale[/name_u]–[name_m]French[/name_m], [name_f]Estella[/name_f]–Spanish!! Maybe it is because I am a travel the world kinda gal. I guess I never really thought about having names from different nationalities as a problem… hmm… something I will consider…
Thanks for the help everyone I wanted to cut down my list. I have narrowed it down to:
[name_f]Marigold[/name_f]
[name_u]August[/name_u]
[name_u]Pascale[/name_u]

So:
[name_m]Seamus[/name_m] & [name_f]Marigold[/name_f]
[name_m]Seamus[/name_m] & [name_u]August[/name_u]
or [name_m]Seamus[/name_m] & [name_u]Pascale[/name_u]

tough decision!!!

Another vote for [name_f]Marigold[/name_f]! I can just picture [name_m]Seamus[/name_m] and [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] as siblings so easily. [name_m]Both[/name_m] names evoke little children with rosy cheeks and windswept hair from playing outside all day

[name_m]Just[/name_m] to quickly (randomly) add: I know twins (16) named [name_m]Seamus[/name_m] and [name_f]Georgia[/name_f]
