A Strange Request

Good morning! I am in need of some Nameberry genius and inspiration. We’re considering “[name_u]Curtis[/name_u]” as a middle name for our future little girl for sentimental reasons, but we would want to pair it with a second middle name to girl it up a bit. I think boy names really work on girls especially when it’s paired with something really feminine. The actress [name_u]Evan[/name_u] [name_f]Rachel[/name_f] [name_m]Wood[/name_m] comes to mind as an example. Any way, it’s going to be a middle name so there’s less pressure, but I also really want the whole name to feel… thoughtful. Ya know? We think of our naming style as uncommon but familiar-sounding.

We tend to be a little on the adventurous side, naming-wise. At the top of our first names list are [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] and [name_f]Juno[/name_f].
Some pairings I’ve come up with so far are:
[name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_f]Clarissa[/name_f] [name_u]Curtis[/name_u]
[name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_u]Curtis[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_u]Curtis[/name_u] [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]

Our last name is 3 syllables, starting with H and end with the “ee” sound.

So…what do you think?

I hope nameberry let’s me respond this time. What I have been trying to say is that I like [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_u]Curtis[/name_u] [name_f]Amelia[/name_f].

Aww, thank you! [name_f]Do[/name_f] you have any additional suggestions? Any other names you think would pair well with [name_u]Curtis[/name_u]?

I think [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_u]Curtis[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is lovely.

I weirdly like [name_u]Curtis[/name_u] for a girl name…

I think [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_u]Curtis[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] sounds so pretty and uber feminine but whilst still being strong, I normally dislike [name_f]Rose[/name_f] as a middle name as I love the name so much but in this case it just sounds so beautiful! I also like it with [name_f]Amelia[/name_f].

A few other suggestions (I’m going to keep to more classical names as [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] and [name_u]Curtis[/name_u] are quite unusual)
[name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_f]Isla[/name_f] [name_u]Curtis[/name_u]
[name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_f]Olive[/name_f] [name_u]Curtis[/name_u]
[name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_u]Curtis[/name_u] (I think this has a particularly nice sound to it)
[name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] [name_u]Curtis[/name_u]
[name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_u]Curtis[/name_u]
[name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_u]Eden[/name_u] [name_u]Curtis[/name_u]
[name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] [name_u]Curtis[/name_u]
[name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_u]Curtis[/name_u] (a little biased I know as my name is [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] but I really like it)
[name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] [name_u]Curtis[/name_u]

But whatever you choose you choose to go with will be stunning I’m sure!

I like [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_u]Curtis[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]

I can’t get on board with [name_u]Curtis[/name_u] on a girl I’m afraid, but I do understand your reasoning/purpose and respect that. I feel it would be best placed in the second middle name position…I’m thinking [name_f]Juno[/name_f] [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_u]Curtis[/name_u] would be lovely (I actually quite like [name_u]Curtis[/name_u] there - the flow of it that is).

I prefer [name_u]Curtis[/name_u] in the second middle spot. [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_u]Curtis[/name_u] is lovely.

[name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] [name_u]Curtis[/name_u]
[name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] [name_u]Curtis[/name_u]
[name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] [name_u]Curtis[/name_u]
[name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] [name_u]Curtis[/name_u]
[name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] [name_u]Curtis[/name_u]

[name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_u]Curtis[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. [name_u]Love[/name_u] it.
