Names:

  • Tolliver (Tall-iv-err)(Male)
  • Romilly (Rom-ill-ee)(Female)
  • Mercer (Mer-sir)(Male)
  • Briony (Bri-oh-knee)(Female)

Everyone can breathe easy, I’m not asking you for any first names. My mom suggested the name Keenan (Key-nan), and on another forum, someone suggested an alternative, Kiernan *(Keer-nan). Both for a boy, both lovely. I want your votes, which one do you think is best suited for the pre-existing sibling names. If you have other alternatives, throw them at me.

Just know that in the end, I will go with what I personally think sounds the best, so don’t worry about telling me to choose what I like most. I want to hear your opinions.

*Edit: Changed pronunciation from Key-air-nan to Keer-nan.

Thanks in advance.

Kiernan - has something winsome and literary about it like your others; it sounds more compact vowel-wise like the others do; it has last name vibes like Tolliver and Mercer.

Edit: it’s also Keer-nun for me/ in Australia.

I like [name_m]Kiernan[/name_m] for the set (although would pronounce it with just two syllables, keer-nun). For me [name_m]Keenan[/name_m] sounds too modern compared to the other names.

Of the two, I prefer [name_m]Kiernan[/name_m], though I say it KEER-nan. [name_f][/name_f] I’m also very fond of [name_m]Kieran[/name_m] (KEER-an) or the original Gaelic [name_m]Ciaran[/name_m], or also Tiernan/Tierney, though I like that with [name_m]Kieran[/name_m] or [name_m]Kiernan[/name_m] you would avoid the repeated initial with [name_m]Tolliver[/name_m] and [name_m]Tiernan[/name_m] (though stylistically I do really like them together!). [name_f][/name_f] Also love [name_m]Truett[/name_m] and [name_m]Truman[/name_m] but they feel more like [name_m]Tiernan[/name_m] than [name_m]Keenan[/name_m] and [name_m]Kiernan[/name_m] lol.

Good luck!

I like [name_m]Kiernan[/name_m]

I know you like [name_m]Kiernan[/name_m], you’re the one who recommended it to me.
