My husband and I are giving our daughter an LZ name, after my dad’s initials. I think we have finally settled on [name_f]Leonie[/name_f] as a first name, which is good progress considering I’m due in two days.
The middle name has been tough. We both like [name_f]Zara[/name_f]. But then my husband started thinking that a one-syllable name would sound better with [name_f]Leonie[/name_f]. He proposed [name_m]Zade[/name_m] (rhymes with [name_f]Jade[/name_f]). My first thought was that it was odd and sounded more like a boy’s name. But I’m starting to come around to it.
So, any thoughts on [name_f]Leonie[/name_f] [name_f]Zara[/name_f] vs. [name_f]Leonie[/name_f] [name_m]Zade[/name_m]? Or other suggestions for Z names on the shorter side? (I like [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] but not with [name_f]Leonie[/name_f].)
I agree that [name_m]Zade[/name_m] sounds like a boy name, similar to [name_m]Zane[/name_m]. I like [name_f]Leonie[/name_f] [name_f]Zara[/name_f] though. I think 3-2 syllables is nice.
