I say [name]Ada[/name] as AY-dah and [name]Adah[/name] as [name]AH[/name]-dah. I prefer [name]Adah[/name], but it unfortunately sounds like “oughtta” and “otter” in some accents, which sort of puts me off, haha. Still, [name]Adah[/name] gets my vote.

I would pronounce [name]Ada[/name] as eh-duh and I’ve never seen [name]Adah[/name] but I would pronounce it as ah-duh. [name]Both[/name] could really be pronounced either way.

Same here.

To me, in English [name]Ada[/name] is [name]Ava[/name] with a “d”, while [name]Adah[/name] sounds like “ardour”, like the book. I prefer the former, as in [name]Ada[/name] Lovelace - a wonderful namesake to have!

[name]Ada[/name] is much lovelier. The -h looks out of place. I pronounce it AY-duh in english, but my danish friend named [name]Ada[/name] is [name]AH[/name]-dah.

I say both as [name]Add[/name]-uh

[name]Ada[/name]. I pronounce both as ay-dah.

I vote [name]Ada[/name]. I pronounce it ay-dah like ava with a d

[name]Ada[/name], I think it’s super pretty but how simple it is is why it is so pretty iykwim? so I think adding the h kind of loses it.

I would say ah-dah for both. I have a friend named [name]Ada[/name] and she pronounces her name that way.

I would say ay-duh for both, though I know [name]Adah[/name] is correctly pronounced “ah-duh”. I think I like [name]Ada[/name] better, it’s so simple but so cute. I met a little girl who was named [name]Ada[/name] and I liked it from then on!

[name]Ada[/name]. Why complicate it?

I strongly prefer [name]Ada[/name]. An H looks out of place and complicates an otherwise pretty name.

[name]Ada[/name].

What about:
[name]Auden[/name]>[name]Audrey[/name]>[name]Audra[/name]

These names come from two different origins and have two pronunciations. I prefer the vintage [name]Ada[/name] to the Biblical [name]Adah[/name].

[name]Ada[/name] - ([name]German[/name] usually a short form of [name]Adelaide[/name] meaning “noble” )- English speakers say “AY-duh” but some European countries say “[name]AH[/name]-dah”.

[name]Adah[/name] - (Hebrew name in the Bible meaning “adornment”) - “[name]AH[/name]-dah”.
