Addison Peter?

Really crushing on this–are there any other [name_u]Addison[/name_u] fans out there? Is [name_u]Addison[/name_u] a completely unrealistic crush? I feel like I know what 90% of Berries will say, but I think I’m secretly hoping I’m not the only one to like [name_u]Addison[/name_u], and [name_u]Addison[/name_u] [name_m]Peter[/name_m] in specific…

I’m thinking [name_u]Addison[/name_u] [name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_u]Grey[/name_u] or [name_u]Addison[/name_u] [name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_m]Charles[/name_m], or maybe even [name_u]Addison[/name_u] [name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m]/[name_u]Addison[/name_u] [name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_m]Jack[/name_m]…

Thanks, ladies!

[name_u]Addison[/name_u] for a girl on Nameberry is #14. Sorry, but I think this makes it too much of a girl’s name to use on a boy. That being said, it is a nice name, but with so many little girl [name_f]Addie[/name_f]'s running around, I would steer clear. I like [name_u]Addison[/name_u] [name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_m]Charles[/name_m] - never been a fan of [name_u]Grey[/name_u].

I know a male [name_u]Addison[/name_u], and it suits him really well. He is very outdoorsy and a great snowboarder. I have not met a girl [name_u]Addison[/name_u] though, and it does worry me that he may be seen as having a “girl name” with it being so popular for females now. Not that there is anything wrong with boys sharing names with girls, but he might not be happy about it. Then again, I know a male [name_u]Whitney[/name_u] ("[name_u]Whit[/name_u]"), and he loves his name despite it being used mostly for females.

I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_u]Addison[/name_u] on a boy it’s on my list. [name_u]Addison[/name_u] [name_m]Peter[/name_m] is awesome! I have seen recent boy Addisons still it makes me so happy.

I saw a little boy on the news named [name_u]Addison[/name_u]. I think it is adorable for a boy and so overused on a girl. All of the combos you listed are fabulous.

Personally I like [name_u]Addison[/name_u] better on a guy. To me, “son” ending names are more masculine then feminine. Also, all of your name options with it are very strong and classic. Rugged. They make [name_u]Addison[/name_u] truly come across as not only manly but stately.

I really like it!

[name_u]Addison[/name_u] is a girl name. Not a masculine strong name for a boy in my opinion.

Where I live there are a lot of things named after a guy named [name_u]Addison[/name_u] Mizner, so it’s a man’s name in my book.
I’m not a fan of [name_m]Peter[/name_m] but [name_u]Addison[/name_u] [name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_u]Gray[/name_u] is nice

I like [name_u]Addison[/name_u] on a guy, and [name_u]Addison[/name_u] [name_m]Peter[/name_m] is rather awesome. I was just starting to discover it and think how cool it was, with its meaning “[name_m]Adam[/name_m]'s son,” when it shot up the charts for girls. I dare say it will be a fad, like [name_u]Madison[/name_u], but still–if I was having a son right now, that fact that [name_u]Addison[/name_u] is currently so hot for girls would give me pause. If it totally crashes in a few years, all those lady Addisons will still be out there, but it might become more usable for boys again.

[name_u]Addison[/name_u] is so handsome on a boy, it’s a shame it has gone more to the girls.
[name_u]Addison[/name_u] [name_m]Peter[/name_m] is a great name.

[name_u]Addison[/name_u] [name_m]Peter[/name_m] is a handsome name! [name_m]Even[/name_m] with its popularity for girls, it’s perfectly usable on a boy.

Thanks, ladies! I don’t know if I would use [name_u]Addison[/name_u] or not, honestly… I love it, and I love my image of a guy with the name, but I don’t even know if I could go for [name_u]Bailey[/name_u], and [name_u]Addison[/name_u] is much more popular on girls these days. Maybe one day I’ll move to [name_f]England[/name_f] and it’ll be a non-issue. Honestly, it’s enough to know that others like it, haha! One of the girls I went to high school with has an [name_u]Addison[/name_u] [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f], and although I’ve never met her, her mom posts pictures and videos of her all the time, and I used to work with her cousin. But otherwise, I don’t really know any Addisons/Madisons… I just did a bit of state research, though, and apparently [name_u]Addison[/name_u] ranks 800-something in my state, and was used with more frequency than [name_m]Linus[/name_m], and [name_m]Leonidas[/name_m], and [name_m]Andreas[/name_m], and even [name_m]Sebastien[/name_m] (although not [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]). Also [name_u]Arlo[/name_u], [name_m]Augustine[/name_m], [name_m]Darwin[/name_m], [name_m]Edmund[/name_m], [name_m]Pierre[/name_m], [name_m]Augustus[/name_m], [name_m]Fletcher[/name_m], [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m], [name_m]Otis[/name_m], [name_m]Tobin[/name_m], [name_m]Truman[/name_m], etc. So if [name_u]Addison[/name_u] is used in the real world more often than all of these that we seem to esteem so much, why should I be so worried? I’m not getting hasty or anything, but it seems as if [name_u]Addison[/name_u], in the real world, genuinely has more appeal than these, so what are my qualms about it? [name_m]Just[/name_m] a thought that’s occurred to me, in the past, with my worries about [name_u]Bailey[/name_u], and also with my concerns for [name_u]Addison[/name_u] now. I genuinely [name_f]ADORE[/name_f] [name_u]Addison[/name_u] [name_m]Peter[/name_m] (and would love to have a little son with the name!), but I don’t know if I would ever, ever go there.

It would have to wait until I was actually ready to have children, anyhow. haha.

I’m of the opinion that I don’t really give a toss regarding how many girls are named [name_u]Addison[/name_u]. Since [name_u]Addison[/name_u] WAS and IS a boys name and it ends in “son”, it’s fair game for boys too. I think it’s refreshing to hear that someone likes it for its original gender. I’m really getting tired of posters saying that it’s a girls name now so you better not use it for a boy because he’ll be damaged for life. Get a grip, Berries. Let’s not encourage the double standard that is rampant nowadays. Berries are ahead of the curve so let’s practice what we preach. If [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] is ok for a girl, then [name_u]Addison[/name_u] is fine for a boy. The only drawback about the name itself is that it’s also a disease. From your combos, [name_u]Addison[/name_u] [name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_u]Grey[/name_u] is speaking to me.

Such strong opinions, @mischa! wink I believe exactly the same, but I’m not prepared to make my son the butt of a whole generation’s jokes (or potentially even two or three generations, or even a whole century’s worth), just because I think [name_u]Addison[/name_u] should be usable for boys, too. I think it’s handsome, I think it’s timeless, and I think boys have as much of a right to it as girls do, but if it’s going to scar my son, I wouldn’t want to use it, honestly.

Still really loving [name_u]Addison[/name_u] [name_m]Peter[/name_m], but I am toying with [name_u]Addison[/name_u] [name_m]Leo[/name_m] today, too, and I really love that, as well. Although probably not nearly so much as [name_u]Addison[/name_u] [name_m]Peter[/name_m] in the long-run–I’m really loving those two together!
