Adelaide pronunciation?

My sister pointed out to me this name, she loves it, and I think I do too. But, when I looked it up it didnt have a pronunciation listed. So I’m confused, is it ‘add-ul-aid’ (that’s what I think it is, and I like that), or ‘add-ul-aid-ee.’ I am hoping it’s not the last one b/c I dont like that, nms. Let me know how it’s pronounced and what u think about the name. And also, another A name…[name]Agatha[/name]! I think this has some old time charm and there was a character ‘[name]Agatha[/name]’ in a children’s book that I loved as a kid, so it has special meaning to me. But, I have gotten several negative responses about it, do u hate it, love it, indifferent? [name]Aggie[/name] could be a nn, but I’d probably just use [name]Agatha[/name]

[name]AD[/name]-ul-aid indeed. I love the name. It’s getting a surprising amount of attention lately, maybe because of singer [name]Adele[/name]. I personally don’t like [name]Agatha[/name] at all, but I know a lot of other people do.

[name]Adelaide[/name] is prn [name]AH[/name]-del-ade. Lady is a nn that can be used for [name]Adelaide[/name], however. I don’t mind [name]Agatha[/name], I knew a really awesome friend of my parents when I was a little girl named [name]Agatha[/name] called [name]Aggie[/name], she drove a motorcycle and had her nose pierced and I remember thinking how totally awesome this woman was. I think part of the reason [name]Adelaide[/name] starting getting attention initially was because it was another way to get to the ever so popular ‘[name]Addie[/name]’ nickname, now I think it stays in the popular side of things because of the recent trend for old fashioned names.
