These are my top two choices: Thoughts? comments? thanks!
Now that is a tough one indeed. I absolutely adore these names. I really love both. I’m not sure I can choose between them. I think [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] just about wins for me. You have great name taste!
[name_f]Valentina[/name_f] [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] for me, too! Unfortunately, I’ve never been able to get into the [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] family of names ([name_f]Adrianne[/name_f], [name_m]Adrian[/name_m], [name_m]Adriano[/name_m], hadrian, [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f], [name_f]Adriana[/name_f], etc., etc.), so, pretty as [name_f]Adriana[/name_f] [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] looks, I can’t get into her. I’d love [name_f]Adela[/name_f] [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] or [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] [name_f]Paloma[/name_f], though!
[name_f]Valentina[/name_f] [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] is so beautiful. I agree with ashthedreamer I have always found something off putting about all of the [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] names, I blame [name_m]Rocky[/name_m].
[name_f]Valentina[/name_f] [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] is lovely.
Best wishes*
No chance you’d go for [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] [name_f]Valentina[/name_f], is there? I love seeing [name_f]Paloma[/name_f].
Both combos are lovely - I can’t choose them based only on the combos. I think [name_f]Adriana[/name_f] is a bit less frilly than [name_f]Valentina[/name_f], so I guess if I had to pick one I’d go with it. (Also I like [name_f]Ana[/name_f] as a possible nickname.)
[name_f]Adriana[/name_f] has a more harsh sound to it, [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] rolls of the tongue and it’s just beautiful
[name_f]Valentina[/name_f] [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] is actually the name of actress [name_f]Salma[/name_f] Hayek’s daughter, which is a pretty distinctive combo, so I probably wouldn’t use it. But if you don’t mind the occasional person thinking you copied a celeb baby name, I actually do like [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] more than I do [name_f]Adriana[/name_f] (although [name_f]Adriana[/name_f] is also really pretty).
I like both combos a lot, however, [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] stands out more for me - I love it. So light, airy and whimsical, but still strong and grounded. A great combo.
Would you consider putting the lovely [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] up front? [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] is a gorgeous name, and I love hearing/seeing it used as a first name. [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] would be stunning!
I’m going to have to go with [name_f]Adriana[/name_f]. I love [name_f]Adriana[/name_f], and the combo [name_f]Adriana[/name_f] [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] is killer! To me, [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] is too fussy and doesn’t pair well with [name_f]Paloma[/name_f], though like the idea of [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] [name_f]Valentina[/name_f]. But [name_f]Adriana[/name_f] [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] is still prettier:)
I love [name_f]Paloma[/name_f], but paired with [name_f]Valentina[/name_f], it’s not my favourite. I immediately thought of [name_f]Salma[/name_f] Hayek’s daughter, too.
Thanks for your feedback, everyone! You’ve given me lots to consider. I love the idea of Paloma as a first name, and it does flow nicely with Valentina as a middle name, though I’m concerned that people unfamiliar with the name would butcher its pronunciation. I also don’t want anyone thinking I copped a celebrity baby name (though admittedly, Valentina Paloma ‘got on my radar’ after I heard Salma Hayek named her daughter this, and it translates to ‘brave dove’, which I think is pretty cool). Adriana is my pretty, but ‘safe’ choice; I really used to like the name Adrienne, but as I am of Latina heritage, I like that Adriana is reflective of that.
Adela is also a very pretty first names; thanks for suggesting:-)
