After Sadie and Scarlett...suggestions/thoughts

So I’m expecting again, dont’ know if it’s a boy or a girl, but I’m preparing myself for the inevitable third girls. Nothing wrong with girls, but people expect you to really want the one you don’t have. Anyhow, I’m really fresh out of girl names. I loved the name [name]Sadie[/name]. It took a while naming but it’s always been a favorite of mine. [name]Scarlett[/name] was harder to name. I loved that name for a long time as well, but wasn’t sure I’d actually name my daughter that. I did.

So we have two problems:

S trend: I didn’t mean to get an S trend going, just so happen to be the names we liked and agreed upon. There is an assumption that we will continue the S trend. People say you are going to leave this one out, are you? I think it would be easier to break the pattern if it were a boy, but tougher for a girl. I’m not opposed to keeping the S trend, but I want to pick a name I actually like, not just because it starts with S.

Can you help me with S names?

[name]Even[/name] in the non-S world finding a girl name I swoon over that I didn’t already use is hard. There are some names that were rejects from last pregnant that I still like, but I didnt’ use them last time so I’m unsure that they would work this time.

Mainly, there’s
[name]Hadley[/name] (my top favorite - but husband absolutely completely refused)
[name]Piper[/name] (it was close, but didn’t feel right)
[name]Georgia[/name] (I’ve always liked, but husband never has. Also, now with [name]Scarlett[/name] there, I don’t want to seem obsessed with the South).

Please give your suggestions/thoughts/input.

Your daughters’ names are really nice! I really like [name]Georgia[/name] and [name]Piper[/name] as well!
Hmm, how about:

[name]How[/name] about [name]Sally[/name]? [name]Sienna[/name]? [name]Sylvia[/name]? [name]Sierra[/name]?

For some non-s names consider, [name]Lucy[/name], [name]Tatiana[/name], [name]Juliana[/name], or [name]Genevieve[/name].

What about:

[name]Sadie[/name], [name]Scarlett[/name], and [name]Stella[/name]!

Other thoughts:

I like [name]Stella[/name] with [name]Sadie[/name] & [name]Scarlett[/name]!!!

[name]Sadie[/name], [name]Scarlett[/name] and [name]Sophia[/name]
[name]Sadie[/name], [name]Scarlett[/name] and [name]Shani[/name]
[name]Sadie[/name], [name]Scarlett[/name] and [name]Sidney[/name]
[name]Sadie[/name], [name]Scarlett[/name] and [name]Shayna[/name]
[name]Sadie[/name], [name]Scarlett[/name] and [name]Sapphire[/name]
[name]Sadie[/name], [name]Scarlett[/name] and [name]Summer[/name]
[name]Sadie[/name], [name]Scarlett[/name] and [name]Samantha[/name]

[name]Non[/name] S names:
[name]Sadie[/name], [name]Scarlett[/name] and [name]Kenzie[/name]
[name]Sadie[/name], [name]Scarlett[/name] and [name]Ruby[/name]
[name]Sadie[/name], [name]Scarlett[/name] and [name]Lilly[/name]
[name]Sadie[/name], [name]Scarlett[/name] and [name]Greta[/name]
[name]Sadie[/name], [name]Scarlett[/name] and [name]Petra[/name]
[name]Sadie[/name], [name]Scarlett[/name] and [name]Carys[/name]

I personally would stick with the S theme if you had another girl, but if it was a boy I would change it up  All the best!

Thanks so much! I like [name]Willa[/name]. [name]Lila[/name] too but it’s one of my husband’s ex so I rather not conjure of memories.

Thanks. [name]Sally[/name] is a classic nn of [name]Sarah[/name], as is [name]Sadie[/name]…it’s too close for comfort.

Thanks… I had forgotten about [name]Sienna[/name].

Dlawsonsmith, at one point, [name]Sadie[/name] was almost [name]Autumn[/name] and [name]Scarlett[/name] was almost [name]Peyton[/name], so you’ve picked up on my naming style. I like [name]Vienna[/name] too but for some reason, I like place names to have an assocation with the couple. [name]Just[/name] my personal style. I have been to [name]Vienna[/name] but long before my husband was even a twinkle in my eye

Rosieposie, how do you feel about [name]Sienna[/name]'s name now? What kind of feedback do you get? A pp brought it up and intrigues me.

I think you are right about the girl and S theme. Let’s hope it’s a boy! Not because girl names are so bad. Actually, the opposite but I really want to pick names that I [name]LOVE[/name] and it’s hard to do it for the third time.

[name]Sapphire[/name] would have to be some fierce chick!
[name]Summer[/name] is nice and do-able.
[name]Sophia[/name] is far too common for my taste.
I don’t think I like any of the sh- names in general.

What a charming trio.

I also like:
[name]Sophie[/name] (I know its like [name]Sophia[/name] and incredibly popular, but its still a favorite).

My suggestion is [name]Simone[/name]. I too have a [name]Scarlett[/name] and this is on my short list if I have another girl so perhaps you will like it too. I feel it matches [name]Scarlett[/name]'s glamour and exotic flair. Good luck!

I’m going to go against the grain and say no more S. I think three is a bit [name]OTT[/name], and what if you have a fourth! If she might feel ‘left out’ why not give her an S middle name. I like [name]Samantha[/name], [name]Sapphira[/name], [name]Saffron[/name]. Or a name starting with C that has the ‘s’ sound, like [name]Cecily[/name], [name]Celia[/name], [name]Cecilia[/name], [name]Celeste[/name] etc.

[name]Sadie[/name], [name]Scarlett[/name] and [name]Olivia[/name]
[name]Sadie[/name], [name]Scarlett[/name] and [name]Isabel[/name]
[name]Sadie[/name], [name]Scarlett[/name] and [name]Eliza[/name]
[name]Sadie[/name], [name]Scarlett[/name] and [name]Audrey[/name]
[name]Sadie[/name], [name]Scarlett[/name] and [name]Eva[/name]
[name]Sadie[/name], [name]Scarlett[/name] and [name]Aurora[/name]
[name]Sadie[/name], [name]Scarlett[/name] and [name]Imogen[/name]
[name]Sadie[/name], [name]Scarlett[/name] and [name]Faith[/name]

[name]How[/name] about:

[name]Sadie[/name] and [name]Scarlett[/name] are both very Southern to me, so I would go with either [name]Savannah[/name], [name]Stella[/name] or [name]Suzanne[/name]/[name]Susannah[/name].

I get lots of nice comments about [name]Sienna[/name]'s name, although the older generation have a bit of trouble pronouncing it haha…

Yeah hope u have a boy! But either way every child is still a blessing

Other suggestions:
[name]Serenity[/name] (We like this name but it could be a bit out there? Dont think I would actually use it although it is pretty!)
[name]Skyla[/name] (Same kind of category as [name]Serenity[/name] - a bit different)

Sorry if I repeated any!

I’m fond of

[name]Susannah[/name] - [name]Susie[/name]/[name]Suki[/name]/[name]Zuzu[/name]/[name]Zanna[/name]? Something for everyone, and some non-Ss in there.
[name]Sinead[/name] and [name]Saoirse[/name], which are probably too hard to spell compared to [name]Scarlett[/name] and [name]Sadie[/name]
Some variants of [name]Sarah[/name] which I wouldn’t use with a [name]Sadie[/name].
[name]Sybil[/name]/[name]Sybilla[/name] - NN [name]Billie[/name].

I think [name]Saffron[/name] and [name]Sabrina[/name] might be my favourites with your set. I do think [name]Sybil[/name] or [name]Sybilla[/name] NN [name]Billie[/name] would be adorable with [name]Scarlett[/name] and [name]Sadie[/name] though.

Like PP’s suggestions of [name]Sienna[/name] and [name]Stella[/name] as I think they have the same “feel” as [name]Sadie[/name] & [name]Scarlett[/name] (which are gorgeous names, btw!) I also think [name]Suzy[/name]/[name]Suzie[/name] would work as it has the same vintage sound as [name]Sadie[/name] (as well as being two syllables as they are).

Other “S” names which may work:

[name]Sian[/name] (pronounce “shan”)

[name]Hope[/name] that helped a little - had so much fun doing that!!

I like [name]Star[/name], but I almost named my daughter [name]Starr[/name]. I ended up with [name]Autumn[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]. Now she is going to have a baby and likes [name]Riley[/name] [name]Michelle[/name].
I also like the [name]Susannah[/name] and [name]Savannah[/name] (but worry about the “here’s [name]Vanna[/name]” syndrome. I also like [name]Tamara[/name], a lot of females my age were called that and nn [name]Tammy[/name] but it is not so popular anymore.

My daughter is looking for a boys name, her and her man cannot come to an agreement.

Mom to [name]Patrick[/name] [name]Alexander[/name], [name]Nicholas[/name] [name]Ivan[/name] and [name]Autumn[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]

[name]Sadie[/name], [name]Scarlett[/name] and [name]Serene[/name]/[name]Serena[/name]. Is what I picture!
