[name_u]Aidan[/name_u] of [name_m]Caiden[/name_m].

Aslan (Turkish, means lion) has a similar sound

I love [name_u]Aidan[/name_u].

I prefer [name_u]Aidan[/name_u]. Not many people where I am use it, it’s more [name_m]Zayden[/name_m]/[name_m]Cayden[/name_m]/etc. I love the original, but with all the rhyming names it makes it sound more popular. Plus no one I know actually uses the correct spelling. I like it better than [name_m]Aiken[/name_m].

I would surely go with [name_u]Aidan[/name_u] over [name_m]Aiken[/name_m]… but to add to your boyfriend’s argument, [name_u]Aidan[/name_u] makes me think of aiding (as in helping). So all names have their associations for different people. You have to agree on what you both can love and just go with it.

[name_u]Aidan[/name_u] hands down!

I would go with [name_u]Aidan[/name_u]. [name_m]Aiken[/name_m] looks like it would be confusing and constantly misheard/misspelled. ([name_u]Aidan[/name_u] could be spelled [name_u]Aiden[/name_u] too but they’re both common enough to be familiar, whereas [name_m]Aiken[/name_m] is not.)

[name_u]Alden[/name_u] or [name_m]Aedan[/name_m] perhaps? Otherwise [name_u]Aidan[/name_u] for sure.

[name_u]Aidan[/name_u]! [name_m]Aiken[/name_m] is my maiden name, can’t in any way view it as a first name sorry

I far prefer [name_u]Aidan[/name_u] over [name_m]Aiken[/name_m]. [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] is similar in sound. Also, [name_m]Eamon[/name_m] (AY-mun) which I love.
