Aleta

[name]Aleta[/name] comes from [name]Alethea[/name], which comes from [name]Aletheia[/name], which means truth. I only like [name]Aleta[/name]. Pn don’t matter, I don’t care how many times I will correcting people. My surname is often mispronounced but I don’t care I just let them saying wrong.

So, [name]Aleta[/name], wdyt?

I’ve been noticing this name a lot lately. I think someone was named this on Kell on [name]Earth[/name] and it’s been catching my attention ever since. I like it a lot! [name]How[/name] do you pronounce it? I pronounce it uh-lee-tuh.

I think it is cute.

You may not mind correcting people, but your daughter might. My mother didn’t care about correcting by name twice a day, but boy, I sure did.

(If you’re thinking about renaming yourself, naming a character or a pet and not a real human other than yourself, than disregard my comments.)

Nonetheless, it is a pretty name. It’s fairly intuitive - I’m pronouncing it Uh-lee-tuh?- and has a pleasant sound and a nice spelling on paper.

I would assume [name]Ah[/name]-[name]LEE[/name]-tah.
I know an [name]Alida[/name] ("[name]AH[/name]-lid-ah") whose name I adore, so I’m biased in that direction. It’s softer than [name]Aleta[/name].
[name]Aleta[/name] is nice, but it does slightly remind me of the word “elite” or “elitist.”

I pn it [name]Ah[/name]-lay-tuh

I agree with aurra that even if you don’t mind people saying your name wrong, your daughter might.

I also agree with emmabobemma that I prefer [name]Alida[/name].
