Alex O'Loughlin's son

[name]Just[/name] saw it updated that [name]Alex[/name] O’[name]Loughlin[/name] and [name]Malia[/name] [name]Jones[/name] named their son [name]Lion[/name]. [name]Just[/name] curious what everyone else thinks. I think [name]Saxon[/name] and [name]Lion[/name] are unspeakably cool together, and I have to say, I like [name]Lion[/name] a lot more than [name]Leon[/name]! Although I’m not sure how usable [name]Lion[/name] is to us commoners, it sounds an awful lot like “lyin’”. :frowning: I’m a sucker for animal names, though, and I think [name]Lion[/name] is just adorable…

[name]Lion[/name] has always been one of those words that the more often I say it, the less it feels like a legitimate word. [name]Say[/name] it enough in a row and you start to think, “wait… is that actually the word? [name]Lion[/name]? That’s so weird”.

Still, it’s pretty cool. But I do like [name]Leon[/name].

I’m more devastated that he has a son. Lol, but I’m not really feeling [name]Lion[/name]…it’s too literal for my tastes.

There’s a character in [name]Valley[/name] of the Dolls named [name]Lyon[/name] [name]Burke[/name], and that was my first association. I actually think that [name]Lion[/name] is very wearable. I feel like I’m seeing [name]Hawk[/name], [name]Bear[/name], and [name]Fox[/name] getting tossed around increasingly on these boards, and I definitely see [name]Lion[/name] being at least as easily wearable as any of those names. I think it’s one of those names that maybe seems more out there on first impression than it would feel in regular use, if that makes any sense. [name]Saxon[/name] and [name]Lion[/name] is a really interesting pair for brothers.

I don’t really like [name]Lion[/name], honestly. It’s just too much of an animal for my style.

Well, to be honest I think it’s horrible. Why can’t celebrities just give their children proper names? Is there some unwritten rule that when you’re just slightly famous you have to name your (poor) kids all those weird-ass names? I really respect the celebrities who give their children normal and decent names.

I don’t think that [name]Lion[/name] is that big a leap. There are Bears and Hawks and [name]Leos[/name] and [name]Leons[/name]. However, I don’t think that [name]Lion[/name] O’[name]Loughlin[/name] is okay. Sounds like a minor character in a comic book.

My son has a little boy called [name]Lion[/name] in his nursery group (he’d be about 8 months old?). It was weird at first, but I’ve gotten used to seeing it and hearing it as a name. It’s certainly not my taste though.

To be honest I think it’s pretty awful.
I kind of hate [name]Saxon[/name] too. I get a white supremacist vibe from it.

Did anyone stop to think what they were doing to this child?..He will be teased and “growled” at all his life…children can be very cruel to other children…“cutsie” maybe but when with his peers, it won’t be so cute…

Is it pn like lion or is it pn [name]Leon[/name]? but spelt lion? or Ley-on how the french say lion x
