Alice, Jocelyn, Adela... ack.

After several rounds of trying names out on my DH, and him being completely unwilling to think about it or contribute other than to wrinkle his nose at several, I’m forcing the issue and coming back to the start it seems of figuring out a name.

Our surprise girl will be little sister to [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] and [name_m]Quentin[/name_m]. Her middle name will be [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] (family name), and our last name is a 1-syllable [name_f]Asian[/name_f] name that rhymes with “pa”

Ideas? Thoughts? Hubby likes [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], which is pretty but too popular. I’m trying to go for #20-500 ish in terms of popularity (heard of, unlikely to have others in her class with same name… I have an [name_m]UBER[/name_m] popular 1970s name and grew up sick to death of groups trying to figure out what to call the other one or two of us to tell me apart with others with my own name).

I really like [name_f]Alice[/name_f] but agree that the flow with [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] isn’t great. Is there another longer middle name option? Second favorite from your list would be [name_f]Adela[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Adela[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] is cute. Not a huge fan of [name_f]Jocelyn[/name_f]. I do like [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] but you said that’s out. [name_f]Joanna[/name_f] could work. I like [name_f]Joanna[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] but sounds like you might not. I understand wanting to stay away from popular [name_u]Vivian[/name_u].
