Hello! [name_f]My[/name_f] daughter is named [name_f]Violet[/name_f], and although we’re not yet expecting another child I want to make sure I have some good names picked out. We have 3 boy names, but I’m lost on girl names. I like [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] (not sold on the middle name) and [name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Helena[/name_f] (pronounced huh-LEE-nuh), but don’t know which is better. Ideally we would have 3 girls but with our finances maybe just 2 kids (or just our one girl, I love her so much)…

But I don’t know which pairing sounds better, [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Alice[/name_f] or [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Flora[/name_f]. I feel like [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Alice[/name_f] sound similar, but I feel like [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Flora[/name_f] are too matchy in their meanings and need to be spaced out… I also just prefer the name [name_f]Alice[/name_f].
I absolutely love [name_f]Violet[/name_f] & [name_f]Alice[/name_f] together, they don’t sound too similar at all. Both names have such a classic, graceful sound and an elegant feel while not being overly princess-y. [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Flora[/name_f] is a lovely option as well, you can’t go wrong with either. For me, however, [name_f]Flora[/name_f] does have a slightly different feel then [name_f]Violet[/name_f] – a little more vintage & clunky, maybe? [name_f][/name_f]If you love [name_f]Alice[/name_f] more as a name in geenral, then I say go for it, she’s such a stunner!

[name_f][/name_f] I do love [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] but something feels a little off about her for me too. [name_f][/name_f] Here’s a few other ideas, if you would like them!

I strongly prefer the name Flora! I absolutely love Flora she’s timeless, unexpected, has gorgeous mythological references, sweet, has pretty springtime energy along with feeling homespun. I think Flora is perfection. Absolutely love the overall sound of Flora Helena as a combination she’s so elegant. Vi0let + Flora do have that matchy matchy feel with them both being floral names however I do not find it overwhelming. I actually really like the floral theme especially as it’s subtle due to both names feeling established. I also know lots of siblings sets that are both flower names or both constellation names it’s a nice way to tie the siblings together.
Concerning Alice as a name she’s never really appealed to me however I know she’s a berry favourite and I think Alice does sound pretty with Vi0let. This would be a more distinctive pairing. Finally Alice Aurora does sound pretty very majestic.

[name_f]Flora[/name_f] is adorable, but I think violet would be paired better with a similar theme of flowers like lily, amaryllis, rose, etc., but if that’s not a road you would like to go down then maybe search for some names similar to [name_f]Alice[/name_f].

Definitely [name_f]Alice[/name_f]. I’m in the UK and we have a margarine named [name_f]Flora[/name_f], so I have never liked it. I prefer [name_f]Florence[/name_f] or [name_f]Fleur[/name_f]. But [name_f]Alice[/name_f] is a classic and gorgeous name, and sits well with [name_f]Violet[/name_f]. [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] sounds great to me. It means ‘noble dawn’. Very nice! But you might consider
