I really like it! I think the spelling is acceptable (v.s [name_f]Alena[/name_f]), it sounds modern, but not trendy, and it ages well. I like it with your boys, also. [name_f]Alina[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] sounds very pretty.
[name_f]My[/name_f] nieces name is [name_f]Aline[/name_f]. I’m not sure which is my favorite. I think I might even prefer the Dutch version of [name_f]Eline[/name_f]. [name_f]Erin[/name_f] is right though. It does fit with your boys names.
[name_f]Alina[/name_f] is lovely. I think it goes well with [name_u]August[/name_u] and [name_u]Avery[/name_u] and to me it doesn’t really sound “modern” as in trendy and [name_f]Alina[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] has a sweet, old-school feel to it to me.
I really like [name_f]Alina[/name_f], and [name_f]Alina[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], I happen to know a [name_m]German[/name_m] [name_f]Alina[/name_f], she’s about 20 years old and it suits her very well. A sweet and smart girl.
[name_f]My[/name_f] name is [name_f]Alena[/name_f], pronounced the same way, and I love it. I get compliments on it all the time. It’s unique but still straightforward. I get the “a-lay-na” pronunciation a lot, but I think your spelling would take care of that.
I like [name_f]Alina[/name_f] a lot (prefer it over the a-lay-na prn of [name_f]Alena[/name_f] like pp said). Depending on where you are, you might get a-lie-na. I’m in the midwest US and there’s a large healthcare organization called [name_f]Alina[/name_f] that’s pronounced that way. I still know individuals called [name_f]Alina[/name_f] (a-lee-na) and it seems to work out ok!
I love [name_f]Alina[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] and I think she fits perfectly with [name_u]August[/name_u] and [name_u]Avery[/name_u]!
I think [name_f]Alina[/name_f] goes well with your boys and goes well into adulthood. [name_f]Alina[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] is lovely and flows well.
Thanks, but we have chosen [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] as a middle name (we just aren’t sure on a first name) because it’s my sister-in-law’s name. So [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] is set.
EDIT: We are also considering Charlotte (Hazel’s mn) as her middle name
I have a cousin in her 30s who is named [name_f]Alina[/name_f]. She’s the only person I know with that name, so you have that going for it! I think it definitely ages well and is close, but not too similar, to up-and-coming [name_f]Alana[/name_f]/[name_f]Alayna[/name_f]/[name_f]Elena[/name_f]/etc. I also think it goes perfectly with [name_u]August[/name_u] and [name_u]Avery[/name_u]. [name_f]Alina[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] doesn’t flow completely right for me, but if there’s a sentimental reason or something for the middle [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], I don’t see why you couldn’t use it.
[name_f]Alina[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] & [name_f]Alina[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] are both lovely. I have never met any [name_f]Alina[/name_f]'s, but I do know a 3yr old [name_f]Ilina[/name_f] (prn similar but will il on the front ) which is a very old fashioned name, they live in eastern Europe. Its a lovely choice and goes well with brothers.
It’s perfect. I am bored of “frilly A names” like [name_f]Alyssa[/name_f] and [name_f]Arianna[/name_f] and [name_f]Aleah[/name_f] and [name_f]Ayana[/name_f] because they all blend together for me. But [name_f]Alina[/name_f] is more grounded and less vowel-y. [name_f]Alina[/name_f] and Aleida aren’t part of that pack for me, so they don’t sound too modern at all. [name_u]August[/name_u] and [name_u]Avery[/name_u] are debonair gentleman names to me, and [name_f]Alina[/name_f] is a great female counterpart - graceful, feminine, but not flighty or insubstantial.
