All of a sudden...CLARK

Out of the blue the other day, it struck me that [name]Clark[/name] is a name I could imagine calling a future child!

It’s nothing like the names I’ve been drawn to in the past, but I quite like it.

I’d really like to hear what you think of the name [name]Clark[/name].

I like … It makes me think of Superman.

I like the name [name]Clark[/name]. I had a HUGE (unrequited) crush on a [name]Clark[/name] in junior high school, and I’ve liked the name ever since.

First thing that comes to mind: [name]Clark[/name] [name]Kent[/name]. It is a very handsome name, though.

Errrrr I just ended things with a a guy with this name and he’s not impressed with me right now. And in turn, I’m not impressed with him either. So subjectively, there are many other names I’d rather see at this point in time, but objectively, as a name, I think it’s fine. Stable, sturdy, no-nonsense.

[name]Clark[/name] - strong, handsome, no nonsense.

[name]Clark[/name] [name]Gable[/name]!

Great replies!

Er, looks like I brought up some less than ideal relationship memories for a couple of you. Heh. I’m glad real life Clarks have appealed to a couple of intelligent women, though.

Yes, [name]Clark[/name] sounds smart, handsome, sturdy and no-nonsense to me, too. I like the [name]Kent[/name] and [name]Gable[/name] associations, as well. Those are appealing namesakes.

[name]Do[/name] you think this name is too aligned with the surname as first name trend? This isn’t a trend that has appealed to me.
[name]Do[/name] you think [name]Clark[/name]/[name]Clarke[/name] is becoming too associated with names given to girls? To me, it’s a masculine, handsome first name fit for males, but e-searches indicate it’s being used on females more and more.

Keep the thoughts coming, you lovely name nerds!

[name]Clark[/name] is a lovely name! It’s also on my list of names.

I’ve never met a female [name]Clark[/name], and I also feel that it is strictly a name for males. I also see [name]Clark[/name] as a strong, masculine, and handsome name. I suppose the spelling variation ‘[name]Clarke[/name]’ could be used for a female, but I wouldn’t use it!

It’s adorable! But I love that it sounds professional on a grown man as well. [name]Love[/name] love love!

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s Superman!

Seriously. [name]Clark[/name] [name]Gable[/name]. Swoon! I think [name]Clark[/name] is a very handsome name, I’d love to meet a little [name]Clark[/name]. It would be super cute.

I love [name]Clark[/name]!

Definitely a boys name! It’s very masculine!

I really like the name [name]Clark[/name]. It’s simple yet has a great sound. It does make me think a little of Superman, probably due to my youthful obsession with [name]Dean[/name] [name]Cain[/name] (dating myself here), but it’s a positive association.

I am laughing to myself because it seems like [name]Clark[/name] elicits visions of strong, handsome men to most people, and all I can think of when I hear “[name]Clark[/name]” is [name]Clark[/name] Griswold from National Lampoon’s Vacation movies  It’s not a winner to me.

I love the name [name]Clark[/name]. I think it’s classic, handsome and will age well.

[name]Will[/name] always be [name]Clark[/name] Griswald to me. It’s like naming a girl [name]Clara[/name]. I’m not a fan.

Ha, I was familiar with the [name]Clark[/name] Griswold association, but [name]Kent[/name] and [name]Gable[/name] are more prominent in my mind.

I really like the name [name]Clark[/name]! I like the Superman association! I know a little [name]Clark[/name] (about 9, I think) and he’s adorable! Quite the handsome and intelligent young man you’d imagine being named [name]Clark[/name].

I don’t see many female Clarkes exsisting now or in the future and [name]Clark[/name] has been used as a first name long before [name]Mason[/name] and [name]Sutton[/name], I believe.

Great choice!

Best of [name]Luck[/name]!

I love the name [name]Clark[/name]! It’s a name crush for me, and I actually think of [name]Lewis[/name] and [name]Clark[/name] before [name]Clark[/name] [name]Kent[/name] :stuck_out_tongue: It’s one of those names that’s heard of, yet unheard of.

I like [name]Clark[/name]! Strong name, easily recognizable yet underused. I think you have a winner!
