I think I have a problem.
I’m in [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] with the name [name_m]Ian[/name_m]. everything about it is beautiful sounding to me. It’s perfect, hits all my marks.
It started with me liking [name_m]Julian[/name_m], which I still think is another perfect name.
Only the one I’m with has bad connotations with [name_m]Ian[/name_m] and doesn’t want to use it, at all. We aren’t planning to try conceiving for another couple years, but me being the name obsessed person I am, never really stops thinking about possible names.
Lately I’ve noticed a trend in all the possible boy names I like, and that’s the [name_m]Ian[/name_m]/en/on sound at the end.
For example
[name_m]Ian[/name_m]
[name_m]Julian[/name_m]
[name_u]Eden[/name_u]
[name_u]Evan[/name_u]
[name_m]Ethan[/name_m]
and now most recently [name_m]Theon[/name_m]
I suppose I just really like vowels and that drawn out ‘ee’ sound.
I don’t think I could get myself to use [name_m]Ian[/name_m] and one of the others, as they seem too close. But I don’t want to give up on the name [name_m]Ian[/name_m] because I think he might let me use it on a second son because he knows how much I love it.
But what about [name_m]Theon[/name_m]? Is it too close to [name_m]Ian[/name_m] as well? What if I used [name_m]Theon[/name_m] and [name_m]Julian[/name_m] but sometimes used [name_m]Ian[/name_m] as a nn? Would that work or still be too close?
