Allegra Vs. Anouk

Our top two girl names are [name]Allegra[/name] and [name]Anouk[/name] (both in the event of twin girls, as we are using [name]ART[/name]… nicknames [name]Allie[/name] and [name]Annie[/name].) But… if we have just one baby girl, which do we like better?? [name]Both[/name] have ‘normal’ nicknames should they be needed.

I like [name]Anouk[/name] better. I am such a sucker for the nn [name]Annie[/name] and I don’t think I could deal with the “oh, like the medicine?” side comments that are sure to ensue. I love [name]Allegra[/name], and it’s sweet, happy meaning and vibes, but I just couldn’t do it. :frowning:

The only qualm I have with [name]Allegra[/name] is that it has the word “leg” in it. I don’t like that it has a body part in the name.

[name]Anouk[/name] is quite cute.

I prefer [name]Allegra[/name] but I don’t have the same hangups that some people do with the medication reference as we don’t have that in Australia (at least I’ve never seen or heard of it before).

For me, [name]Allegra[/name] is the more usable name. It’s such a beautiful, underused name.
[name]Anouk[/name], on the other hand, is too much for me. It feels like it’s trying to hard to be cool and exotic.

I love [name]Anouk[/name]

I Love Love [name]Anouk[/name].
[name]Allegra[/name] has a pretty sound but It’s too closely associated to the allergy medicine in the usa imo.
