So I just recently started loving [name_f]Winnie[/name_f]…not sure exactly which name I’d use as proper first name. I do like [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] surprisingly. But I just love the nickname [name_f]Winnie[/name_f]. Then it finally dawned on me, our last name starts with W. The first 3 letters are [name_m]Wil[/name_m]. Would [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] [name_m]Wil[/name_m]----- be too cheesy?! I’m thinking yes…it’s not something I ever thought I’d consider but just think [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] is so cute. Honest opinions. For the record, mostly just dreaming anyway since I am almost positive my husband would hate the name [name_f]Winnie[/name_f].
I don’t think the alliteration’d be bad at all, as long as they flow well when said together.
I adore [name_f]Winnie[/name_f], oh so sweet… And I like the alliteration, makes the name even sweeter!
I really like [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] atm as well but as a nn for [name_u]Wynn[/name_u]. I think its alright- my fav nn [name_u]Lee[/name_u] sounds exactly like the last syllable of our surname and that is too sing songy… [name_u]Lee[/name_u] Crosslee … but do you ever really use a nn with a surname?
I guess I am torn on whether it’s cheesy or sweet haha. I kind of lean toward cute but maybe not once grown up? Cute on a kid…cheesy on an adult? But good point, often the nn would not be used w/ the surname.
I think [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] Wil_ flows well, so it’s not a problem. Might be a bit cutesy, but if you use a formal first name then she can fall back on that as an adult.
I actually don’t think [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] [name_m]Wil[/name_m]---- would be bad at all. I’m not always a huge fan of alliteration, but I think in this case it works.
I think it’s fine. Everyone loves [name_m]Wil[/name_m] Wheaton! Your [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] Wil____ will be just fine, I think.
