Alliteration Names

What do you think about an alliteration name?
First and last name being the same first letter/sound?

I like alliterative names! I think it makes a name more memorable.

I answered a similar question yesterday, so I’ll just tell you what I told the other user. [name_f]My[/name_f] SO has double M’s and I adore it. Most people seem to. Doubling a letter will make the name stand out, but I don’t think in a bad way. I constantly call him by his first and last name because I love the repetition so much!

I really like them! Some are better than others especially if the other sounds aren’t too similar.

My eldest is Z@chary M@ckenzie. M@ckenzie being our surname. Everybody remembers and likes my son’s name. At least it’s memorable lol.

I actually like them a lot! I used to try to avoid them because I thought it sounded too cutsey and matchy. I read a few posts on here of people using the same letter for first name and last name or even first name and middle name and I though they flowed so well together! I’m not sure I would like first, middle, and last name all starting with the same letter, but I’m definitely a fan of two of the three being the same letter!

[name_f]My[/name_f] kinda-boyfriend (that’s the best way I know how to describe our relationship :joy:) has an alliterative first and last name, and I think it’s amazing! [name_f]My[/name_f] dad also has an alliterative name!

I used to hate alliterative names, but now I have no problem with them. I actually think they’re great a lot of the time! I just don’t like names that are like [name_m]Andrew[/name_m] [name_u]Anderson[/name_u], [name_m]Philip[/name_m] [name_m]Phillips[/name_m], [name_m]John[/name_m] [name_u]Jackson[/name_u], etc.

If baby is a girl, our frontrunner name is alliterative, albeit with different pronunciations of the first letter. I think it depends how close they are, they can be quite memorable and sound great if they work but can sound a bit awkward if not.

For example, [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] [name_u]Green[/name_u] works better than [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_u]Green[/name_u] to me because of the soft vs hard g, different second letter/sound and a different number of syllables.

As long as they flow well together as a whole, I love alliterative names!

I think it can work, but depends on the names. Sometimes it’s cartoony.

I love them to the moon and back , I think their fun and very memorable when done correctly, a lot of people tend to not like them due to the idea that they’ll match or sound a little too cartoonish, but they can be done and when they are their to die for!

I love alliterative names, provided they otherwise sound good together! I especially like it if they have the same number of syllables for some reason, like [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] [name_f]Molly[/name_f], or if one of them is a one-syllable name, like [name_f]Jessica[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f].
