Pronounced like [name_f]Talitha[/name_f] but without the “T.”
[name_f][/name_f]Does anyone have any input about the sound of this name? How does it strike you initially?

I would assume it was an alternate spelling of [name_f]Aletha[/name_f].
[name_f][/name_f]As for the name itself I think it would match well with todays current trends. It feels greek mythology for me. Its kind of ethereal feeling.
I like the sound (I love the similar Talitha!). It reminds me of similar names like [name_f]Alicia[/name_f] or [name_f]Alyssa[/name_f]. I can see it getting mistaken for [name_f]Elisa[/name_f] with a lisp, but I don’t think that’s a dealbreaker.
[name_f][/name_f]I’m not sure about the origin. I think the previous suggestion of being an [name_f]Aletha[/name_f] spelling makes total sense. I can also see it being a twist on [name_f]Alicia[/name_f] (especially the [name_f]Alisha[/name_f] spelling).
I like how it sounds, it has the same old-fashioned yet mystical charm that [name_f]Talitha[/name_f] has to me! I do like [name_f]Talitha[/name_f] more because of the nn [name_f]Tali[/name_f], but they’re both pretty names. Not a fan of how it looks, though, the double L makes me think it would be pronounced all-itha? I’d like Alitha more.
It sounds quite bright, zippy and pretty [name_f][/name_f]- but there’s something quite sharp and mysterious about it too. Sparkly and shiny but in a silvery, metallic way.
[name_f][/name_f]I’d guess it was a variation of [name_f]Aletha[/name_f] / [name_f]Alethea[/name_f] on seeing it? I’ve seen Alitha listed as such.
It sounds interesting! [name_f][/name_f] [name_f]Talitha[/name_f] is a favorite, so I do prefer it, but it has a pleasant sound, and reminds me of other names I like (like [name_f]Alethea[/name_f] and Alifair).
