So, [name_f]Alma[/name_f] [name_f]Khalila[/name_f] seems to be our frontrunner for a baby girl, as it’s the name SO and I both agree on. I love the vintage charm of [name_f]Alma[/name_f] and how [name_u]Amal[/name_u], one of my favorite Arabic names could be a nickname for it, even [name_f]Amalie[/name_f]. SO loves the meaning. However, I really want to keep are options open and refuse to settle with definite names so soon. I feel like there are thousands of wonderful names out there that we haven’t considered - the downside of being a name lover, I suppose.
I would love to know the impressions you have of [name_f]Alma[/name_f], what you would imagine an [name_f]Alma[/name_f] to be like and overall opinions on the combo.
I like [name_f]Alma[/name_f] [name_f]Khalila[/name_f] and I think it is beautiful! I haven’t seen any little children with the name [name_f]Alma[/name_f], and I would love to. The first thing that came to my mind when I heard [name_f]Alma[/name_f], was sweet, creative, humble, deep thinker, charming, and fun
It’s very pretty, and I think it goes wonderfully with your other kids’ names! [name_f]Alma[/name_f] strikes me as a girl that would be reserved and bookish, with a big heart and unending compassion.
I view [name_f]Alma[/name_f] as very Scandinavian, a name that is used in [name_f]Astrid[/name_f] Lindgren books, a blonde child that lives in a red wooden house wit acres of green surrounding it. She loves to play outside in the sun with her dolls or run around with her little brother [name_m]Oscar[/name_m]. The second thing I think of is “Alm” which is a [name_m]German[/name_m] word for Alps. Then I think of the Spanish word for soul but I don’t view it as a Spanish name.
