I have three girls (and three boys, but that isn’t relevant) named: [name_f]Miriam[/name_f], [name_f]Emeline[/name_f], and [name_f]Harriet[/name_f]. I adore their names, obviously, but every once in awhile I call them by their “other names.” Not out loud; just in my head. If I’d married somebody else my girls might all have been named their “other names.” The names that I love as much as their “real names,” except it wasn’t quite them or quite our family, or quite . . . something . . . so it didn’t happen.
So if I had gone with my alter ego, the girls would be named: [name_m]Lennon[/name_m], [name_u]Finlay[/name_u], and [name_u]Elliott[/name_u].
[name_f]Miriam[/name_f] = [name_m]Lennon[/name_m]
[name_f]Emeline[/name_f] = [name_u]Finlay[/name_u] (and I would call her [name_m]Huck[/name_m] [name_u]Finn[/name_u] all the time because she totally fits it–a scrappy little red head)
[name_f]Harriet[/name_f] = [name_u]Elliott[/name_u]
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you have alter ego names picked out for your girls???
PS I don’t have any alter ego names for my boys Cowen, [name_m]Eli[/name_m], and [name_m]Oskar[/name_m]. I can’t imagine them with any other names.
