Alternative for Stella

I wanted to use [name_f]Stella[/name_f] after a beloved family member but it’s become too popular for my taste so I’m searching for alternatives. [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] has stuck with me but I want to explore other options. Give me all your suggestions!

[name_f]Callista[/name_f]
[name_f]Luna[/name_f] (very popular, so it has the same problem i guess)

[name_f]Astra[/name_f]
[name_f]Astraea[/name_f]
[name_u]Nova[/name_u]
[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]

[name_f]Cressida[/name_f]
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f]/Estella
[name_f]Venus[/name_f]
[name_f]Navi[/name_f]

All of these names are related to space in some way. I think the best option for you is [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]/a, since it’s so similar to [name_f]Stella[/name_f]. I hope you like some of what i suggested! :))

I love [name_f]Esther[/name_f] and [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] as alternatives to [name_f]Stella[/name_f]! You could use the nicknames [name_f]Essie[/name_f] for both, or [name_f]Stella[/name_f] for [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]!

Oh!! [name_u]Starling[/name_u] is great!!

Zella maybe? [name_f]Lettie[/name_f] if you’re willing to swap some letters around? Since [name_f]Stella[/name_f] means “star,” maybe something “light” themed? [name_f]Nell[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] are my favorites off the top of my head–[name_f]Nell[/name_f] seems especially perfect since it means “bright shining one” and has that “ell” sound!

Super helpful! Thank you!!

I second [name_f]Astra[/name_f], [name_f]Astraea[/name_f], and [name_u]Seren[/name_u]! I also like Stelara and [name_f]Estrella[/name_f], very similar to [name_f]Stella[/name_f] but less known. Maristella nickname [name_f]Maris[/name_f] or [name_f]Stella[/name_f] is cool too. [name_f]Elanor[/name_f] means “sun star” in Tolkien’s Sindarin language, but [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] is really popular now as well. Maybe [name_u]Ciel[/name_u] or Čiela?

Ella sound:
[name_f]Zella[/name_f]
[name_f]Della[/name_f]
[name_f]Nella[/name_f]

Star/celestial:
[name_u]Aster[/name_u]
[name_f]Astraea[/name_f]
[name_f]Esther[/name_f]
[name_f]Estella[/name_f]
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Celestia[/name_f]

Maybe another name meaning star like [name_f]Estelle[/name_f], [name_f]Astraea[/name_f], [name_u]Seren[/name_u], Izarra, [name_f]Hester[/name_f]

Some similar sounding names could be [name_f]Elsa[/name_f], [name_f]Elisa[/name_f], [name_f]Selah[/name_f]

i love [name_f]Estrella[/name_f]!
you could also use [name_f]Star[/name_f] or [name_f]Starr[/name_f]
