[name_f]Madeline[/name_f] is growing to be one of my favorite girl names and other than [name_f]Maddie[/name_f] or [name_f]Maddy[/name_f] (and [name_m]Mads[/name_m]), I would like to know whether there could be other nicknames for her.
*[name_m]Just[/name_m] for the record, I prefer this spelling of the name because of the relation to the redhead [name_m]French[/name_m] character and because I prefer the Mad-uh-[name_f]Line[/name_f] version rather than Mad-uh-[name_u]Lyn[/name_u].
I really like the idea of [name_f]Addie[/name_f].
I agree with [name_f]Addie[/name_f]. I’d also suggest [name_u]Adel[/name_u] or [name_f]Delia[/name_f].
You could use [name_f]Elin[/name_f] (pronounced like [name_f]Ellen[/name_f]).
There are a lot I can think of but honestly, people will go straight to these because they are more common. what I can think of, some are a bit of a stretch: [name_f]Addie[/name_f], [name_u]Lynn[/name_u], [name_f]Lily[/name_f], [name_f]Lina[/name_f], [name_u]Del[/name_u], Dela, [name_f]Delia[/name_f], [name_f]Mada[/name_f], [name_f]Millie[/name_f] and that’s about it.
I love [name_u]Dell[/name_u] or [name_f]Della[/name_f], but it might be difficult to avoid [name_f]Maddy[/name_f] so I’d think carefully if you really don’t like it!

I actually don’t mind [name_f]Maddy[/name_f] or [name_f]Maddie[/name_f], I think they are very cute and down-to-earth, I was just looking for some different alternatives. I like the idea of [name_u]Dell[/name_u] or [name_f]Lina[/name_f] very much and [name_f]Millie[/name_f] or [name_f]Milly[/name_f] is superb!

I love [name_f]Mimi[/name_f] and think it would work perfectly well, @bellerose! It gives [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] that [name_m]French[/name_m] flare that I love. All I think about is the adorable and spunky character, oui, oui… [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] is such a lovely and fun name. I think [name_f]Mimi[/name_f] fits her perfectly!
