I am torn about the name Catherine. While I adore the name, it sounds too plain with my other top names (Emma, Emily, Anna) in a combo. What other forms of Catherine would you suggest?
Maybe [name_f]Catarina[/name_f] or [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f]?
Funny, it reminds me of those other names. I just love [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you love it or the other names more? I love [name_f]Kitty[/name_f], [name_f]Cate[/name_f], and [name_f]Cathy[/name_f], but would make those nns for [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]. There is [name_f]Catalina[/name_f] too. I also love [name_f]Caledonia[/name_f].
I prefer [name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_f]Emily[/name_f] more than [name_f]Catherine[/name_f], but [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] more than [name_f]Anna[/name_f].
How about [name_f]Katrina[/name_f] or [name_f]Catalina[/name_f]? Another spelling with the same pronounciation would be [name_f]Caitriona[/name_f] (ka-tree-nah).
[name_f]Calpurnia[/name_f] would also be cool. Though I dont believe it’s of any relation it is a C beginning name
[name_f]Ekaterina[/name_f]?
[name_f]Katrine[/name_f] [name_f]Emily[/name_f]?
[name_f]Caia[/name_f]
[name_f]Catherina[/name_f]
[name_f]Cathleen[/name_f]
[name_f]Kathryn[/name_f]
[name_f]Kate[/name_f]
[name_f]Rina[/name_f]
Catia
I don’t think [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] sounds boring though
[name_f]Katarina[/name_f]!
For what it’s worth, my name is [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] and I’ve always loved it. I go by [name_f]Catherine[/name_f], no nicknames, and as a kid I liked that I was the only [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] (even through there were lots of Kates and Katies), and that there were famous queens and saints in history named [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]! As an adult, I think it sounds strong and professional. Good luck with your choice!
[name_u]Cato[/name_u]
[name_f]Katarina[/name_f] is my personal favorite, and can also be spelt [name_f]Caterina[/name_f] or [name_f]Catarina[/name_f]!
Other options:
[name_f]Katrine[/name_f] / [name_f]Catrine[/name_f]
[name_f]Ekaterina[/name_f]
[name_f]Katrina[/name_f] / [name_f]Catrina[/name_f]
[name_f]Kat[/name_f] / [name_f]Cat[/name_f]
[name_f]Kate[/name_f] / [name_f]Cate[/name_f]
[name_f]Katya[/name_f] / [name_f]Katia[/name_f]
[name_f]Kitty[/name_f]
[name_f]Kathy[/name_f] / [name_f]Cathy[/name_f]
Kaddy / Kaddie / Caddy / [name_f]Caddie[/name_f]
[name_f]Katie[/name_f] / [name_f]Catie[/name_f]
Katty / [name_f]Kattie[/name_f] / Catty / Cattie
I actually think [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] is more interesting and has much more charm than [name_f]Emily[/name_f] and [name_f]Emma[/name_f] which feel extremely overused for me. I do love [name_f]Anna[/name_f], and [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] and [name_f]Anna[/name_f] would be an adorable sibset!
I love [name_f]Katia[/name_f]!
@emiliet - a lot of people (that I know) are really into the whole [name_u]Kit[/name_u] or [name_f]Kitty[/name_f] as a shortening of [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] . I hear the occasional [name_f]Kate[/name_f] too.
Someone I follow on social media has a [name_f]Catalina[/name_f] but I’m not convinced it’s a [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] derivative.
You could always do a long name on BC then just use a nickname in daily life.
I like [name_f]Caterina[/name_f] and [name_f]Katia[/name_f].
[name_f]Caitlin[/name_f]
Not a form of [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] but [name_f]Claire[/name_f] has a similar sound/vibe to me and sounds nice with [name_f]Emma[/name_f], [name_f]Emily[/name_f], [name_f]Anna[/name_f]. For what it’s worth I think [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] is lovely on its own and also with your other names
What about [name_f]Catriona[/name_f]?
I second [name_f]Caia[/name_f]! Can’t believe I didn’t think of this
