Alternatives to Elizabeth?

[name_f]Do[/name_f] you think that [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is too long as a middle name to honor a relative? What are you favorite alternatives to the full name? What combos would you suggest? I really like [name_f]Lily[/name_f] as an alternative.

[name_f]My[/name_f] combo ideas:

[name_f]Emmaline[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f]
[name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] (my fav of all of these!)
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Lilias[/name_f]

[name_f]Lilibet[/name_f]
[name_f]Betta[/name_f]
[name_f]Beth[/name_f]
[name_f]Liz[/name_f] (I have a cousin who’s full name is Liz)
[name_f]Lizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilibeth[/name_f]

I do love [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] as a middle, and I think she really works with [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]!
Some other variations ~
[name_f]Lilibet[/name_f], [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], [name_f]Bethan[/name_f], [name_f]Bethany[/name_f], [name_f]Lizzie[/name_f].
Expanding on [name_f]Lily[/name_f] ~ [name_f]Lillemor[/name_f], [name_f]Lilliet[/name_f], [name_f]Lileas[/name_f].

[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is not too long for a middle name as a honor name. Coming from experience my parents gave me two honor middle names for a total of 18 characters long. [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is only 9 and if you pair it with the right name then it will be lovely

I don’t think [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is too long for a middle name, but if you don’t like it then don’t use it! It sounds like you really love [name_f]Lily[/name_f] so that’s a great option but some other shortened versions of [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] besides [name_f]Lily[/name_f] are: [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], [name_f]Beth[/name_f], [name_f]Liz[/name_f], [name_f]Liza[/name_f], [name_f]Lilibet[/name_f], [name_f]Bet[/name_f], [name_f]Elle[/name_f], [name_f]Ellie[/name_f]

[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is beautiful but I like the alternative of [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f] too! I don’t think [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is too long - it’s easy enough to say that it works

[name_f]Beth[/name_f], [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f], [name_f]Libby[/name_f], [name_f]Liza[/name_f], [name_f]Elle[/name_f], [name_f]Bethan[/name_f], [name_u]Izzy[/name_u], [name_f]Betsy[/name_f], [name_f]Betty[/name_f], [name_f]Effie[/name_f], [name_f]Elise[/name_f], [name_f]Elsie[/name_f], [name_f]Ebba[/name_f], [name_f]Eilish[/name_f], and [name_f]Zabel[/name_f] came to mind

Maybe [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f], Isabeth, [name_f]Lisbeth[/name_f] or Rosebeth? I don’t think [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is too long. I also love [name_f]Emmaline[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f] by the way!

[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] could work if you want something shorter.

As it was originally a nickname for [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Lily[/name_f] would be my favorite alternative.

Otherwise, [name_f]Lilias[/name_f] would be cute ( I love [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Lilias[/name_f] ). Also, [name_f]Liza[/name_f], [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f], [name_f]Elsa[/name_f], [name_u]Lisa[/name_u], [name_f]Ilsa[/name_f], [name_f]Ilse[/name_f], [name_f]Elsie[/name_f], [name_f]Elspie[/name_f], [name_f]Elsepet[/name_f], [name_f]Elspet[/name_f], [name_f]Elsbet[/name_f], Lizaveta, Lizabeta & [name_f]Lise[/name_f] would be great. Another option I’ve thought of using is [name_f]Isla[/name_f] ( [name_u]Lisa[/name_u] ) rearranged.

I really like [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Emmaline[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f]

No its not too long :joy: its a common middle name. Go with your fave. [name_f]Lily[/name_f] is a nice alternative if you prefer that.
