Alternatives to the name Kenna?

Okay, my name is [name_u]Kenna[/name_u] and I want to change it. I am just very tired of having the correct people’s pronunciation and clarify that my name is just [name_u]Kenna[/name_u], not McKenna or MacKenna. I want to stay somewhat close to my original name to make things easier for those around me who are used to my birth name, but I also want to avoid names that my siblings/close cousins have. This gives me very few options, so I thought I would ask for some help.

I would prefer something neutral to feminine leaning.

Names I can’t use because close family members already have these names:

  • any variation of kateline or katharine
  • [name_f]Carlene[/name_f]
  • [name_f]Keira[/name_f]
  • [name_u]Kerry[/name_u]
  • [name_u]Kennedy[/name_u]
  • [name_m]Kenneth[/name_m]
  • [name_u]Charlie[/name_u]

Names I like, but think would be a bit too much of a change for those around me (I think I would need to stick to something in the Cs or Ks to keep them comfortable). I hope this shows you my taste in names.

  • [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]
  • [name_m]Alastair[/name_m]
  • [name_m]Oren[/name_m]
  • [name_f]Morrigan[/name_f]
  • [name_f]Oriana[/name_f]
  • [name_m]Lucian[/name_m]
  • [name_f]Sylvaine[/name_f]

Thank you for any recommendations! I know this is a bit of a tough one so I appreciate any help I can get.

[name_f]Kenza[/name_f]! I knew a [name_f]Kenza[/name_f] who wore the name so well. [name_u]Kenzie[/name_u] works as a nickname too, or as a different full name idea.

Other ideas…

Wren/Ren came to mind! It doesn’t have C/K beginning, but the “en” sound of [name_u]Kenna[/name_u] is quite distinctive! Similarly, you could do [name_f]Sienna[/name_f], [name_f]Vienna[/name_f], [name_f]Lena[/name_f], [name_f]Fenna[/name_f], [name_f]Anna[/name_f], [name_u]Penny[/name_u], [name_f]Iona[/name_f] and [name_f]Wenna[/name_f]. Maybe [name_u]Fern[/name_u] and [name_u]Wynn[/name_u] too!

For C/K sounds, maybe you’ll like:

It seems you prefer names that would fit a D&D character and are open to more masculine names. Here are some that might work for you.

If you want to match the -enna ending instead of trying to match the K or C sound, you can try these

[name_f]My[/name_f] initial thought was [name_u]Kendall[/name_u] or [name_u]Kennedy[/name_u]! Both could be nicknamed [name_u]Kenna[/name_u] so your close family and friends could still call you [name_u]Kenna[/name_u] if you want, but you could introduce yourself as the full name to strangers to avoid the confusion.

I love the suggestions of [name_f]Kendra[/name_f] and [name_u]Kennedy[/name_u]!

[name_u]Laken[/name_u] or [name_u]Laiken[/name_u] maybe?
Really love [name_u]Kenzie[/name_u] but doesn’t seem like the vibe you like.

Maybe [name_f]Kira[/name_f]?
