Althea

Following up on my previous post, I’ve given more thought to our baby name options. Although we see [name_f]Alethea[/name_f] once a year, I’ve decided it might be best not to use that name. Instead, I really love the similar name [name_f]Althea[/name_f], especially when paired with the middle name [name_f]Juliet[/name_f], which is a variation of my name. I’d love to hear your thoughts on this combination and any pronunciation preferences you might have!

I think [name_f]Althea[/name_f] is gorgeous! It has a lovely soft sound, a vague but intriguing mythological vibe, and the current nickname [name_f]Thea[/name_f]. I pronounce it ahl-THEH-ah because I’m Greek so I’m biased towards the original pronunciation of the name, but I think the [name_f]English[/name_f] ahl-THEE-ah is really pretty too!
