[name_m]Alvin[/name_m] has potential, but I mostly think of the obnoxious cartoon chipmunk. It’s great middle name material. You could also go for [name_m]Calvin[/name_m] if you want something more “current.”

Yup, this exactly. I would love [name_m]Alvin[/name_m] if it weren’t for the chipmunk.

I think I quite like the sound of the name but as others have said, it just makes me think ‘chipmunk’. However, I’m sure this is the sort of association people might have the first time you mentioned the name but would quickly fade as they got to know your son.

I wonder if [name_m]Alvin[/name_m] will move on though, as [name_m]Simon[/name_m] and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] have…why did [name_m]Alvin[/name_m] get left behind??

I’ve known an [name_m]Alvin[/name_m] who’s probably in his late twenties, so it’s not overly fusty or chipmunk-ish to me.

Anyone else know any other young Alvins?

I know an [name_m]Alvin[/name_m] who’s a high school senior. He wears it well.

I love [name_m]Alvin[/name_m], but the association to chipmunks is pretty strong. I don’t mind it though because it’s not a bad one. I don’t think [name_m]Alvin[/name_m] goes with [name_m]Jack[/name_m] and [name_f]Evie[/name_f]. What about something like [name_m]Aldo[/name_m] [name_m]Vincent[/name_m]?
