Eh-vuh-lee-nuh…is this the correct pronunciation? I just came across this while searching other names. I think it is very pretty, if this is the correct way.
That’s how I say it. I have a friend who wants to name her first daughter [name]Evelyna[/name]. She would have said it the same way. Personally, I think [name]Evelina[/name] is so much more appealing.
I say it like [name]Eve[/name] + [name]Lina[/name], so eev-lee-nuh
I knew a Polish woman with this name,granted spelt Ewelina (w’s pronounced like v’s in Polish). She said Ev-uh-lee-na so I assume that’s the right way. Always thought it was lovely said that way.
Think it sounds terrible any other way though.
