[name]Love[/name] [name]Louisa[/name]! It’s so stunning, imo. I say [name]Louisa[/name] and [name]Luisa[/name] differently–[name]Louisa[/name] is the more traditional lah-WEE-zah while [name]Luisa[/name] is loo-EES-ah, a bit more smooshed together, too. [name]Luisa[/name] just has a bit more of a Spanish influence, to me. I do prefer [name]Louisa[/name], though.
Good luck!
[QUOTE=ashthedreamer;1502493]Love Louisa! It’s so stunning, imo. I say Louisa and Luisa differently–Louisa is the more traditional lah-WEE-zah while Luisa is loo-EES-ah, a bit more smooshed together, too. Luisa just has a bit more of a Spanish influence, to me. I do prefer Louisa, though.
Thank you! I didn’t even think of the difference in pronunciation!
[name]Louisa[/name] has a classic, vintage feel that [name]Luisa[/name] does not. Combined with [name]Mary[/name] and [name]Pearl[/name], [name]Luisa[/name] is out of place. [name]Louisa[/name] is a lovely choice.
I don’t pronounce them the same, so I voted for [name]Louisa[/name] since I’m assuming you’re using the English pronunciation judging by the middle names. [name]Luisa[/name] is really mismatched with [name]Mary[/name] and [name]Pearl[/name], imo.
ETA: I like both, but [name]Louisa[/name] is definitely my pick in English. I think it’s lovely!
I pronounce them both like loo-EE-sah (more or less; I understand the other pronunciation), though my inflection on [name]Luisa[/name] would tend to be more Spanish. I think if you have a particular attachment to or come from Spanish/Latin or South American culture, then [name]Luisa[/name] would be a fine pick, but choosing it with no real connection seems odd to me. I would pick [name]Louisa[/name] based on the English middle names you are using.
[name]Louisa[/name] is gorgeous!
I prefer the look of [name]Louisa[/name] but the sound of [name]Luisa[/name]
[name]Louisa[/name], I pronounce like [name]Louise[/name]-a “loo-weez-zah”
[name]Luisa[/name] has a softer sound “loo-wee-sa”
We are using [name]Luisa[/name] in a couple of months ourselves as it is a nod to my Spanish grandmother we intend to call her [name]Lulu[/name] as a NN so it also depends if you plan to use a nickname or the full name. I pronounce them differently also. I think [name]Louisa[/name] fits more with the middle names you have chosen.
Good luck I think you have great taste ; )
[name]Louisa[/name] [name]Mary[/name] [name]Pearl[/name]!
