Amara: Your visual interpretation?

I love [name_f]Amara[/name_f] but she feels almost too modern to me, when compared to my usual tastes, I tend to go for names that evoke meadows, lace, strand of pearls, big hair bows, long white day gowns and parasols. I worry she doesn’t really fit with other girls names I typically like. [name_f]Amara[/name_f] kind of goes against that image because it’s so current. But nevertheless I am in love. So what does [name_f]Amara[/name_f] make you picture? [name_m]How[/name_m] do you see an [name_f]Amara[/name_f]?

I see two visions:

[name_f]Amara[/name_f] feminine middle: Kind of girly, not overly so. Not what you have written. We are bright colors, and patterned skirts. Likes coffee. Dark hair for some reason.

[name_f]Amara[/name_f] unisex/word middle: Really sporty. Wears ponytail. Blonde hair. [name_m]Long[/name_m] hair, and tall.

So not what you have written. Perhaps [name_f]Amira[/name_f] might suit your tastes better?

[name_f]Amara[/name_f] feels very international to me at first glance. Quite elegant and mature sounding - like a professional woman in her late 30s. But I can also imagine a little [name_f]Amara[/name_f] to come from an upper class family. It almost as a snooty edge but I can’t quite put my finger on it. Possibly because it is a less cutesy name it evokes this image for me.

I also makes me think of the online homeware retailer called [name_f]Amara[/name_f]. Not that it’s particularly well known!

As suggested above [name_f]Amira[/name_f] feels more grounded. I like this variation better.

[name_f]Amara[/name_f] almost gives me an older feel! Farther back than vintage even. I for some reason picture a Greek queen, or at least a strong leader! It’s a beautiful name

For me, [name_f]Amara[/name_f] is exotic and sophisticated. She is olive skinned with dark hair and eyes.

See, I knew she doesn’t fit with what the imagery I usually gel with, but I am more worried she jars too much with other names I like. Here’s my visual interpretation:

I see [name_f]Amara[/name_f] as a free-spirit. Bohemian in a sense, opinionated, dark and somewhat a wayfarer by nature. You find her sat beside the ocean at night listening to whitecaps roll in as though she made up part of the fabric of the starry night sky. I see her barefoot running through a forest of evergreens. Witty, sharp and very much her own person.
