I’ve really been liking [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m] lately. What do you think about this name? Would it be okay as a first or is it better suited for a middle?
Thanks!

I like it a lot, but i think it’s the kind of name that might need a nickname. Not sure what nicknames there are for this name, so I would say better as a middle. I love [name_m]Emrys[/name_m] which is the Welsh version and which I think works better as a first.
I love [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m]. I have [name_m]Octavian[/name_m] [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m] on my list but I only see it as a middle name. But that is just me! It can honestly work in both spots since it is such a nice name.
I adore the name [name_f]Ambrosia[/name_f] for a girl. I also like [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m] for that matter
And about the first or middle name slot… It’s all about your comfort zone. If you feel like it’s too heavy for a child, use it for the middle. But I would personally have no problem seeing it as a first.
I do think it’s a better middle name as it’s a bit heavy for most families.
I love [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m]. It depends on where in the US you live, I think. Always consider what sort of names are being used in the area. If you live in a sea of hyper masculine names, I’d put it in the middle. If there’s some variety, yeah, first name would be great. Despite having rose in there, it feels very masculine to me, and my visual is a rogue-ish type of male, flirty, the guy who makes hearts flutter.
I love [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m]. It was on my short list for my son [name_u]August[/name_u]. I was having trouble deciding an almost named him [name_u]August[/name_u] [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m]. I think is good in either name slot.
I love [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m] and think it would work well as either a first or middle name. As I am in love with [name_m]Emrys[/name_m] myself, I couldn’t really use [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m] too, but I do love him so much (particularly with the nickname of [name_m]Aro[/name_m]).
Reminds me of ambrosia – y’know, the food of the gods in Greek mythology.
