DH and I love [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m] for a boy. I’m curious what you all think and what middle names you’d suggest. Our style is best described as offbeat vintage. If our baby is a boy (we’ll find out in a few weeks) he will be brother to big sisters Leisl and [name_f]Margot[/name_f].
I think it is a great name for a little boy, and a man!

YES!! YESSSS! I LOOOOOOVE [name_m]AMBROSE[/name_m]! my husband doesn’t he says it reminds him too much of USA Network’s [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] Monk’s brother, the ONLY [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m] he’s ever heard of. Names I love also include “offbeat vintage” as you call them… [name_m]Tobias[/name_m], [name_m]Gordon[/name_m], [name_u]Corbin[/name_u], [name_m]Rupert[/name_m], [name_m]Cyril[/name_m]…
[name_m]Ambrose[/name_m] would be a fantastic choice. It’s well-deserving of some attention. Other ideas in the same vein:

Are these along the lines of what you’re looking for?
Can I just say I love your daughters names! [name_f]Liesl[/name_f] and [name_f]Margot[/name_f] are adorable! [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m] is a good fit with them. I’m not a fan of it personally because it makes me think of the [name_f]Ambrosia[/name_f] custard and it sounds slightly feminine, like a smush of [name_f]Amber[/name_f] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. Have you considered the Welsh variant, [name_m]Emrys[/name_m]? Same cool meaning, but a more pleasant sound. I’m not good with combos but I like pps suggestions of [name_m]Rupert[/name_m], [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] and [name_m]George[/name_m].
I love [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m]! I know a little boy with the name and he pulls it off flawlessly, as I’m sure yours would Great choice!
I love [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m]. I think it is totally awesome and vintage. My mother already told me she hates it so until further notice I’m keeping it as a middle. But I’d love to see it use more. It ages well and goes great with your sibset.
Great name!

[name_m]Ambrose[/name_m] is a wonderful name, I have always loved it, and it goes well with your other children’s names. I have hesitated to use the name however because it does come off a little in the way of feminine. On the other hand, we have a male friend who’s name is LaRose so if he can make it an [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m] ought to as well.
I’m sorry but I am not a fan. All I hear is [name_f]Ambrosia[/name_f] Salad. But if you love it - Go for it!
In the UK [name_f]Ambrosia[/name_f] is a brand of custard and rice pudding so it makes me think of that!
Yayyyy I love [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m]! [name_f]Glad[/name_f] to see it being recognized. I group it in with other vintage and underused favourites like [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u], [name_u]Wallace[/name_u], [name_m]Harold[/name_m], [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] - all of which I really like.
I adore [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m] and think it would make such a handsome name for a boy - it would go beautifully with Leisl and [name_f]Margot[/name_f] too! I love the ‘immortal’ meaning.
As I have [name_m]Emrys[/name_m] as my #1 at the moment I can’t very well use [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m], so that’s my dilemma… I’d love to be able to use [name_m]Tadhg[/name_m] [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m] though as I think it’s divine…

The S sounds seem to make a lot of names when in the middle sound hissy, so if flows important to you, you might want to steer clear of middles with S’s in them…
