Amelia or Lilia, why?

If you had to choose between these two names, what would be your pick?
Both names are significant to me and I can’t see myself using them both in a combo (too repetitive). Any feedback would be very helpful, thanks!

Definitely [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], it’s a beautiful classic with good history. [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] blends into all the other trendy L girl names (Lila, [name_f]Lily[/name_f], [name_f]Luna[/name_f], etc) and I think it’s much less timeless than [name_f]Amelia[/name_f].

[name_f]Lilia[/name_f]! I like it a little better than [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] because it’s way less popular and it has a little more sparkle to it. [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] is great too though!

I would use Amelia in a heartbeat!
It just sounds so good to me
You can also get a lot more nicknames including Lilia if you want to

[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] would be my preference. I think it’s a stronger name, has lots of nickname options, and is less likely to be misspelled/mispronounced. [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] would probably get [name_f]Lilly[/name_f], [name_f]Lilah[/name_f], and [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] all the time.

I would choose [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]! It’s a lovely name with nice nickname possibilities. It’s easy to spell/pronounce and despite it’s current popularity, still feels fresh to me.

[name_f]Lilia[/name_f] is nice too, I’m just not a big fan of the [name_f]Lily[/name_f] family of names personally.

I’d pick [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] because it’s classic with good history and a bunch of nicknames. I also like [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] but she’d probably get [name_f]Lily[/name_f], [name_f]Lillian[/name_f], [name_f]Lilah[/name_f], [name_f]Lia[/name_f], etc. & that’d be annoying.

[name_f]Lilia[/name_f]! It’s sweet and bright

amelia! a gorgeous, timeless classic.

[name_f]Lilia[/name_f]. I’m so bored of [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]. I know about 20 under the age of 6.

[name_f]Lilia[/name_f]

I like [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] better

I choose [name_f]Lilia[/name_f]. More interesting, and lovely sounds.

I prefer [name_f]Lilia[/name_f]. [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] is all [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] Earheart for me. Its not a bad association but doesn’t feel versatile to me. I definitely prefer [name_f]Lily[/name_f] to both though. They’re too frilly for me with 4 syllables.

Amelia :purple_heart: Because it reminds me so much of my childhood movie, Princess Diaries  But also bc of the gorgeous nickname “Mia”, which also holds a special place in my heart. Amelia also feels classic, and there are currently no Amelia’s in my inner circle of friends or family. It’s just unfortunate it’s so popular, but with good reason.

[name_f]Lilia[/name_f]! She’s so dainty and sweet. I prefer [name_f]Amalia[/name_f] or [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] to [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], and am not a huge fan of the [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] nn options (Lia’s probably my favorite, or maybe [name_f]Amie[/name_f], like the [name_u]French[/name_u] word for “friend”, but I don’t love either, and am not much fond of [name_f]Mila[/name_f], [name_f]Mia[/name_f], [name_f]Mimi[/name_f], or Millie…).

[name_f]Amelia[/name_f]! Warm, friendly, strong, and versatile, with lots of sweet nickname options :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I would pick [name_f]Lilia[/name_f]! I like that it’s less common (although lily related names are extremely popular here) and I’m not crazy about the ‘meel’ sound in [name_f]Amelia[/name_f].

I had [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] on my list for a few reasons…

  1. It’s beautiful and [name_m]German[/name_m]
  2. [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Earhart[/name_f]
  3. very classy and elegant

[name_f]Lilia[/name_f] is pretty too, but all I hear is “Lily” when I hear the name.

I love [name_f]Lilia[/name_f]! [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] is a little too common for me
