[name_f]My[/name_f] grandma told me about a name she saw on TV. The little girls name was Amris. I’m kinda liking it. Thoughts?
I just saw that st judes commercial.
[name_f][/name_f]Amris does have a beautiful sound, but because its a st judes, for me it does feel a little sad. But beyond that conmection I assume its related to [name_f]Amaris[/name_f] which is also beautiful choice.
Oh, I didn’t know that’s where she heard it from.
Amris is pretty [name_f][/name_f]- light but slightly magical. It reminds me of [name_m]Emrys[/name_m].
I like it! It has a sleek and modern sound while also feeling a bit mystical / fantasy-inspired. The androgynous sound is appealing to me as well. The St. Jude’s website is the first thing that comes up on a Google search, though.
I don’t watch a ton of live TV so I wasn’t aware of the connection to St. [name_m]Jude[/name_m] either but I do really love the similar sounding [name_f]Maris[/name_f]! [name_f][/name_f] [name_f]Amaris[/name_f] is also really lovely, or Amira/Amara.
I don’t watch live TV either. When I googled it, I typed in “Amris Name Meaning”, so I didn’t see the connection either. But I think it’s lovely. I just wish there was meaning to it. It’s a modernized name for sure.
Yeah, I think I would wish for more meaning behind it as well! [name_f][/name_f] It does feel a bit watery and mermaid-y for me, somehow? [name_f][/name_f] I can see why you’d love it if you get the same feeling. [name_f][/name_f] It feels like it could have been one of Ariel’s sisters.
I was gettin mermaid vibes too! But I thought it may be a stretch. [name_f]Glad[/name_f] to know I’m not the only one. Lol! [name_f][/name_f] [name_f][/name_f] I was also looking at a name, “Amriel”[name_f][/name_f] and it means [name_m]Angel[/name_m] of [name_f]May[/name_f]
Amriel is interesting! [name_f][/name_f] That reminds me of [name_m]Ammiel[/name_m] as well, which means “God is my kinsman”.
That’s lovely! I like [name_m]Ammiel[/name_m]
