Some names that I WAS going to use for my evil queen-- notice the “WAS”, I changed the idea-- are these: [name_f]Serafina[/name_f]/ [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f]/ [name_f]Safira[/name_f], [name_f]Persephone[/name_f], and [name_f]Lilith[/name_f]. Here are some others: [name_f]Ariadne[/name_f] ([name_f]Air[/name_f]-ee-add-nee), [name_f]Evadne[/name_f] (Ee-vad-nee), [name_f]Ambrosia[/name_f], [name_f]Ismay[/name_f] (Izz-may), [name_f]Alethea[/name_f] ([name_m]Al[/name_m]-ee-thee-uh), [name_u]Artemis[/name_u], Illyria (Ill-eer-uh), [name_f]Olympia[/name_f], [name_f]Titania[/name_f], [name_f]Minerva[/name_f], Hespera, [name_f]Morgana[/name_f], and [name_f]Pandora[/name_f]. I hope I helped! Good luck with your story!
Maledicta was the first thing that sprang to mind.
I’d nix [name_f]Drusilla[/name_f] since it’s another Disney villain (one of the evil stepsisters in [name_f]Cinderella[/name_f]), and both [name_f]Zipporah[/name_f] and Liviana are too soft. [name_f]Lillith[/name_f] is always a recommendation of mine; it’s lovely, but is the name of a demon in mythology. Minevra looks like (is it?) just a misspelling of [name_f]Minerva[/name_f], and despite its “unnerving”, [name_f]Minerva[/name_f] always has a good connotation to me as the goddess of wisdom, plus I’ve read many books where [name_f]Minerva[/name_f] is a heroine/protagonist.
That leaves [name_f]Malvina[/name_f] - I prefer Malvinia, and I still find it a tad off.
[name_m]How[/name_m] about a [name_f]Mar[/name_f]- name? “[name_f]Mar[/name_f]” in Hebrew means bitter, perfect for an evil queen. Maritha (pronounced either muh-ree-thuh or muh-ri-thuh as in “writhe”) sprung to mind. [name_f]Marit[/name_f] (muh-reet) actually means “bitter one”.
For that, I love [name_f]Zipporah[/name_f] and Liviana from your list. I like a more subtle evil queen name, especially since your evil queen at her heart is a loving mother and terrifyingly evil. A deceptively soft but strong name is a good fit. I also suggest [name_f]Titania[/name_f] (who was the queen of the fairies in A Midsummer [name_m]Night[/name_m]'s [name_u]Dream[/name_u]).
Lilita is the Latvian form of [name_f]Lilith[/name_f], which means “of the night” and has been a demon in Middle Eastern myth as well as the first wife of [name_m]Adam[/name_m], cast out of the garden.
I may also suggest variants of [name_f]Katherine[/name_f], which may derive from the Greek name “Hecate” or the Greek “torture” - [name_f]Katharina[/name_f], Ekatarina, [name_f]Yekaterina[/name_f], [name_f]Aikaterine[/name_f].
[name_f]Ariadne[/name_f] is a good suggestion! You could also use [name_f]Cassiopeia[/name_f].
